British Band Coldplay Endorsed Kerry At Grammys. CHRIS MARTIN, MUSICIAN, COLDPLAY: “We’d like to dedicate this to Johnny Cash, and to John Kerry, who hopefully will be your president one day.” (CNN’s “Inside Politics,” 2/9/04)

Boy, we need another right-wing editorial cartoon thread.

What's a worse endorsement, Kim Jong Il or Chris Martin?

I suppose that Jimmy Buffett is from Kiribati and Chris Kirkpatrick is Mongolian

Moby: clearly Canadian

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 00:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Jeez - look at the bug-out eyes on Sharpton in that comic. They tell us much about the GOPs aesthetic influences.

In the background, Richard D. James's uncle looks on.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 02:22 (twenty-one years ago)

From Drudge:

But an investigation reveals Kerry's own website is filled expletives, setting the standard for a new wave of 21st Century campaigning!

Dude motherfucker filled WITH expletives if you're gonna be an asshat at least speak English motherfucker.

this is what happens when nickalicious ilxes high (nickalicious), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Hostess Twinkies with their cream-filled expletives.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 02:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey, that is a great jacket Kerry has in that photo. Fine style.

daria g (daria g), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 05:42 (twenty-one years ago)

if john kerry were to unleash an endless stream of profanities, ol' dirty bastard-stylee, on dubya's ass, my support of kerry's candidacy would go from tepid resignation of the inevitable to white hot like the chernobyl reactor.

Wu-Tang is for the children, not for the soccer Moms or Nascar Dads

gabbneb (gabbneb), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 05:51 (twenty-one years ago)

So far, the worst "attacks" on Kerry from the Bush campaign have been painting him as an "elite Massachusetts man". Seriously. Have they not find his Willie Horton yet, or are they desperate?

donut bitch (donut), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 06:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Bring it on motherfucker bring it on.

daria g (daria g), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 06:08 (twenty-one years ago)

And have they ever been to Massachusetts? It's not all that elite, most of it.

daria g (daria g), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 06:09 (twenty-one years ago)

GET THE FUCK UP
KERRY SAYS GET THE FUCK UP

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 06:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Also that Sharpton drawing will haunt my nitemares; they came within inches of just slapping some James Brown hair on a golliwog

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 06:13 (twenty-one years ago)

setting in my dream: debate 2004

shrubya: (some lie or half-truth, either garbled or full of appeals to some GOP constituent group or other).
kerry: you're full of shit. can't you fucking talk, or is that robertson's cock you got in yer mouth?
shrubya: (blather about tax cuts, jobs, and the budget)
kerry: what, did you pull those fucking numbers outta yer ass or something?
shrubya: (something about jesus)
kerry: if jesus and dickhead cheney were here right now, He'd use the both of you as His bedroom slippers 'cause He'd put His feet so far up yer asses that He'd be tickling yer prostates with His toes.
shrubya: ("massachusetts librul" ... not-so-subtle innuendo about being "french.")
kerry: yo, bring it bitch. i'll show YOU french, cocksucker!!

(a boy can dream!)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 06:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Excellent. My dream is to have a comedy show that features nothing but right-wing conservatives debating Beavis & Butt-head. Actually, if I had any patience and ability with Flash, this could probably be created right now..

Ann Coulter: We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.
Butt-head: Uh huh huh huh, huh huh huh. You're stupid.
Ann Coulter: When contemplating college liberals, you really regret once again that John Walker is not getting the death penalty. We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed, too.
Beavis: Are you threatening me? I am the Great Cornholio! I need TP for my bunghole!

daria g (daria g), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 17:15 (twenty-one years ago)

four months pass...
Kerry's life in the senate:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A13930-2004Jul25.html?nav=headlines

He beats on Marcos, does some random bipartisan things, doesn't like AIDS, and is fairly dull. OTOH, we learn that he wins elections by being slightly better than the other guy, so here's hoping.

Symplistic (shmuel), Monday, 26 July 2004 06:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I guess what I'm wondering is, John Kerry C/D?

Symplistic (shmuel), Monday, 26 July 2004 06:52 (twenty-one years ago)

He beats on Marcos, does some random bipartisan things, doesn't like AIDS, and is fairly dull.

in other words, he does very little above the radar to step on the toes of the Senior Senator from his state, who is the brother of his idol. the one exception involves high-profile investigations, something that Ted Kennedy, not a lawyer, would not specialize in.

gabbneb (gabbneb), Monday, 26 July 2004 07:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Although it's by Sidney Blumenthal, I suggest we read the Guardian's piece where SB claims GOP/Bushie hatred of Kerry springs from his first term, where as a freshman senator he broke the ground on a line of inquiry that became Iran-Contra:
