Goddamn there are so many people from New Zealand posting.

This is what I have been saying to myself lately on reading ILE. But then I thought: huh, I wonder what the people from New Zealand say when they log on and see so many posts from ENGLAND. Well?

Josh, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I say bring it on...this whole time difference thing is great, so much entertainment.

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

We see it as a challenge to re-assert our ownership over the board. We currently have a system whereby we take turns at sleeping so we can bombard ILE with posts 24 hours a day.

hamish, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Maybe you could get all the unoversity computers to have ILE top level a the homepage. That ought to up the ante for everyone not from Dunedin. We'd be invincible

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Maybe we should just rename this board "I Love New Zealand" and be done with it.

sheepfuckers, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

if we loved NZ so much why we would spend so much time on the internerd? i mean wouldn't we be out there fucking sheep or whatever it is we're supposed to do here?

hamish, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i think whats more disturbing than the amount of New Zealanders who post on ILE is the amount of ILE posters that grew up in Oamaru.

the truth is, me and menelaus are really mulletheads who drive markIV Cortinas with our Darude CD pumping at full tilt.

di, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Brum brum

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hamish, you are being quiet. You are letting the team down

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Its not fair, you get the day before us, its all soiled by the time it gets here

Ed, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Being a total hippy...I'd just like to say it's not a competition, so yeah, we love our Kiwi bros and sisters. Yeah, groooooovy...

james, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I should think that a little smut merely adds to the interest. We get all your postings late, when they have been sullied and hijacked. Its rather entertaining

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

mark 4 cortinas is ok, but what you need is a brown 3litre capri (speaks a man who drives a grey golf estate with nothing pumping on the stereo cos some fuckers broke in and nicked it, only the sound of me singing out of tune folk songs and sea shanties)

Ed, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I want a big bad Holdoon kingswood station wagon circa 1975. The ultimate in family transport

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

my family had a golden Holden Kingswood stationwagon in the eighties. we drove in style. hell yeah

Not Named Rhiannon, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

We had an aqua blue one, we used to pretend to be the dukes of hazzard in it.

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

my dad had a blue Belmont in the early '70s. i thought it was a cool car when i was a kid but a Belmont isn't as cool as a Kingswood. i guess.

, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

cop cars.

, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I know somebody from Waitakaruru. I shagged somebody from Rotorua once, also two people from Wellington, and somebody from Auckland once sold me some icing sugar and told me it was crystal meth.

dave q, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The London posse need to reassert their authority I think. The problem is that I have spent a whole weekend rambling on in pubs and now of course when the time has come to distil this into amusing threads it has all fled my weary brane. This syndrome repeated across the capital means that our posting strength is sorely diminished. But the working weekday is still our playground dammit.

Tom, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

the sheepfuckers have taken over...wait utnil you get to bondi grrrrr

Geoff, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ed, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Geoff, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yeah that's the one, what's a golaar anyway

Ed, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, Ed! Now I've read that other thread and as a Tasmanian I have to point out that the Tasmanian Aboriginal Genocide thing is a myth on two levels: firstly, there are still a lot of people who identify as Tasmanian Aboriginals, sure they are not 100% Aboriginal (most of them probably aren't even 6.25% Aboriginal) but to not acknowledge their claim/existence is wrong and, secondly, they didn't just go around shooting them, they put them all on a reserve where they caught the measles or mumps or 'flu or something from some English guy and because of no resistance they all karked it.

Personally I don't think any of it is an issue though. A heap of English guys come along, find a country, invade it, kill most of the people who were there already. What's the problem?

toraneko, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, and a galah is a cute pink and grey parrot.

toraneko, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

There is also a poster from another planet.

helen fordsdale, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

don't forget we used our scottish and irish minions to do it. (after first doing a good genocide job on scotland and ireland) mind you the tradinitons of engliush genocide go back way further than that. William the conqueror had a go at wiping out northeners, the tudours had a go at catholics (maily northeners again). Its only once we got really good at wiping out our own native populations (read peasants and the working class) that we started on killing the rest of the world. had to pass the baton to the americans.

can't think of a specific instance of trying to eradicate the welsh but I bet we had a bloosy good go soem time or other

Ed, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I quite like galahs now

Ed, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

in what bonkers world is william the conqueror ENGLISH? look at his name again very carefully

mark s, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

great tradition in england of either being invaded by, or inviting foriegn people in calling them king and english. we've spent most of our time being ruled by forigners or the descendant of foreigners, it jsut more comforting to call em english. Its one of the great things about true englishness, we're a mongrel race, anyone can join. (we forget that sometimes but its broadly true)

Ed, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

you ozzies are a pack of flamin' mongrels.

di, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

mene, duane, maryann, rainy, hamish, liz, its time we regained control of this board. i cannot do it singlehandedly, although i will give it a good go in my attempt to make the stats cock.

di, Sunday, 21 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

frickin kiwi plot - go back to yr home of the long white pot cloud, begone from teh sats cock dodoes....or at least begone from bondi...next thing you'll be wanti ng to accept iour refugees

Geoff, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Lady Di,

Then why do your drive our mongrel cars?

Stone the flamin crows!

deano, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

NZers are too technologically inept to make our own vehicles I guess. the only reason I would want to live in Bondi is if i had the opportunity of stalking home and away stars and girlfriend feature models.

I'd also like to get Troy Dann's autograph but i might have to bush to acheive that

Menelaus Darcy, Monday, 22 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

thanx, great link deano!

hey but this thread isn't true. i am the only NZer posting tonite. where are you lazy flamin' lazy mongrel pigdogs? come here and help me waste my life.

di, Tuesday, 23 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's not where you're from, dude, it's where you're at. wherever you go, there you are. etc.
