Admit it. All of you people with digital cameras have taken naughty pics of yourselves. Where's your digital stash of self-pr0n?

out with them!

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 11 March 2004 06:24 (twenty-two years ago)

(or is that digital camerae?)

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 11 March 2004 06:25 (twenty-two years ago)

"Camera" is plural; "Camaro" is singular.

jazz odysseus, Thursday, 11 March 2004 06:26 (twenty-two years ago)

No, "Camerus" would have to be the singular.

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 11 March 2004 06:28 (twenty-two years ago)

anyway, enough with the digressions!

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 11 March 2004 06:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I think it's next to the first thing that a lot of people do when they get a digital camera. Whether they delete them immediately or not is another matter.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Thursday, 11 March 2004 06:42 (twenty-two years ago)

I admit it, I have done it.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Thursday, 11 March 2004 06:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Also, taking pictures of your head from all angles after getting a new haircut to see yourself as others see you: classic or really really vain?

Dan I. (Dan I.), Thursday, 11 March 2004 06:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll also add that narcissism is a GOOD healthy thing, and should be explored. It's only bad if it's extreme. But I think none at all is even worse.

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 11 March 2004 07:02 (twenty-two years ago)

DB OTM...none at all is absolutely worse.

JuliaA (j_bdules), Thursday, 11 March 2004 07:08 (twenty-two years ago)

How can a lack of narcissism be even worse than too much narcissism?

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Thursday, 11 March 2004 07:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I should have qualified my statement a little more, but for anybody who finds the idea of being a "sexual" person very appealing (and I'm leaving "sexual person" a term you can define as you feel), having no sense of narcissism is a big frustrating roadblock that often leads to a lot of misery and depression... speaking for my past self and hearing from others as well. I'm defining "narcissism" a little more loosely here, meaning "finding oneself sexy" and "finding exploration of oneself's sexuality and fantasies seeing self in sexual situations with an anonymous to be titillating".

From the dictionary definition:

1.Excessive love or admiration of oneself. See Synonyms at conceit.
2.A psychological condition characterized by self-preoccupation, lack of empathy, and unconscious deficits in self-esteem.
3.Erotic pleasure derived from contemplation or admiration of one's own body or self, especially as a fixation on or a regression to an infantile stage of development.
4.The attribute of the human psyche charactized by admiration of oneself but within normal limits.

I'm mainly using #4, and parts of #3.

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 11 March 2004 07:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, ok. Points well taken. I suppose in this instance that "narcissism" pretty much = "confidence", and certainly a lack of confidence in an individual is a fairly dismal and unfortunate thing. Also, it's good to see that "narcissism" has many shades of meaning, and not all of them are unattractive, as # 1 is.

What if one wishes to work toward being confident/narcissistic but isn't currently because of certain circumstances and statistics?

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Thursday, 11 March 2004 07:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I've always had a hard time making a distinction between confidence and narcissism. I don't know how to balance the good narcissism -- a healthy sexuality and sense of self-confidence -- with the bad narcissism -- ie, being an egotistical jerk. In my efforts to get rid of the bad narcissism, I end up getting rid of the good, winding up with self-loathing instead. (Which of course is a kind of narcissism in itself.)

Prude (Prude), Thursday, 11 March 2004 07:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Back to the topic at hand: I have taken porno-esque photos/videos of myself, but they've all been deleted. (those that weren't posted here before, that is) Afterwards I had a newfound respect for pornographers: it's damn hard to make naked people look sexy.

Andrew (enneff), Thursday, 11 March 2004 07:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Photoshop helps.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Thursday, 11 March 2004 07:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm talkin video porn here - there ain't no photoshop in use there. I think professional lighting has a lot to do with it, as well as super-flexible porn stars with heaps of stamina.

Andrew (enneff), Thursday, 11 March 2004 08:01 (twenty-two years ago)

...and shaving yer pubes so yer cock looks bigger...

winterland, Thursday, 11 March 2004 08:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I haven't. I never masturbate either. Nope. Icky.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 11 March 2004 08:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I have not done this.

Allyzay, Thursday, 11 March 2004 08:43 (twenty-two years ago)

If I did it was strictly for the benefit of another person. But I didn't.

oops (Oops), Thursday, 11 March 2004 08:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Am I really the only person who hasn't done this? Besides maybe Ally? I am so not into there being explicit photos of me that I wouldn't even do it for my own benefit. I'm that paranoid.

Casuistry (Chris P), Thursday, 11 March 2004 08:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I have made the mistake of letting topless photos of me exist on "real" film, I sure as hell am not putting my tits on something that is even EASIER to get on the internet.

Allyzay, Thursday, 11 March 2004 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Nude photos of me are used as currency in many third world countries.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Thursday, 11 March 2004 10:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Nude photos of me are used as birth control by those same third-world countries.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Thursday, 11 March 2004 11:19 (twenty-two years ago)

because they're too busy furiously masturbating over your picture to copulate?

the surface noise (electricsound), Thursday, 11 March 2004 11:23 (twenty-two years ago)

while plenty o drunk photos of me exist, i have not taken any naughty snaps, mainly b/c i haven't had anyone to take them with/for in quite some time.

so, sorry. no pics of my dilznick for y'all.

Kingfish Cowboy (Kingfish), Thursday, 11 March 2004 14:16 (twenty-two years ago)

however, on the narcissism tip, it's interesting how some cameras are being designed with swivel screens, so that you can properly frame a pic taken of yourself.

http://www.akam.no/images/canon/digitalkamera/canon_powershot_a80.jpg

I, of course, have never taken advantage of this feature, tho...

Kingfish Cowboy (Kingfish), Thursday, 11 March 2004 14:19 (twenty-two years ago)

My phone has the Vain-o-Swivel feature on the camera, I don't think I left the house in December for taking twatty contrived photographs that make it look as if I have cheekbones.

ferg (Ferg), Thursday, 11 March 2004 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

It took awhile for me to do this. Only after someone else had taken naughty pics of me with their digital camera.

Ask For Janice (thatgirl), Thursday, 11 March 2004 16:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm with Casuistry on this one, although I do think it's fun to take regular pictures of myself dressed up funny.

teeny (teeny), Thursday, 11 March 2004 17:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I've done it with my girlfriend. I think most of the them have been deleted, except for a few on her computer.

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 11 March 2004 18:40 (twenty-two years ago)

*fighting the temptation to post a very close up digital camera photo of my friend Fudg3's nuttsack*

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 11 March 2004 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

nada, the velvet bingo's ballzingo's are not to be exposed to the public.

Chris 'The Velvet Bingo' V (Chris V), Thursday, 11 March 2004 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

(i was not serious about the "show em" part.. i just thought it was an interesting subject)

donut bitch (donut), Thursday, 11 March 2004 20:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Look at this naughty pic... http://www.b24bestweb.com/naughtyblueeyes1.htm
