What about in Vatican City?

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Thursday, 11 March 2004 20:32 (twenty-two years ago)

are there even any married folk in V.C.?

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Thursday, 11 March 2004 20:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm sure that there are plenty who get married there.

Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains), Thursday, 11 March 2004 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

but not "citizens"

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Thursday, 11 March 2004 20:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Aren't nuns married to God?

Stuart (Stuart), Thursday, 11 March 2004 20:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Do all of the janitors live in Rome? What about the guy who washes the big hats?

Or what if I hated my Catholic wife so much that I wanted to divorce her in VC? Seems like if it's legal to get married there, you could legally get a divorce.

There are a number of non-clergy citizens of the VC (not everyone who works for the Church takes vows), but there are so few citizens to begin that who knows if it's ever come up. They have courts, but I'd kind of think anyone wanting a divorce would just ... walk across the street.

fwiw, the big place for romans to get married is S.S. Giovanni and Paul, the vatican doesn't rate apparently!

Malta has more churches than anywhere else I've ever seen.
