Foist your preferred non-Bush/non-Kerry candidate on the people of ILX!

I'm choosing Walt Brown, the Socialist Party USA's candidate.

Apparently, the SPUSA's strategy was to find the bizarro-world John Kerry - former prosecutor, military experience, Mass. connection, white hair.

Go Walt!

Roy Moore! He can take the insane Christian votes away from Bush!
CONSTITUTION PARTY FOREVAH!

Judge Roy would have the best campaign materials. They could sell little souvenir Ten Commandments rocks.

I think Walt Brown's sexual charisma might be converting me to the pinko cause:

I'm guessing he's not from the school of fiery Marxist rhetoric.

Walt Brown - secret identity of Hugh Hefner?

(OK, I don't want to sound like I'm making fun of Brown - he seems like a great candidate/guy, but it's weird thinking of someone who could be your grandfather as a socialist.)

Nader of course, what's not to like?

I heard he smells like salami.

I love that Judge Roy Moore is running for the Constitution Party.

I'm waiting for the Prohibition Party to get its act together.

The Free Soil Party needs a candidate, too.

Still gotta stick with Al Hamburg:

Religion: None (my own)
Education: Self-educated by reading.

Al Hamburg's Campaign Address:
4705 Road 70 Y "Hell Town"
Torrington, WY 82240

He's the candidate from hell! I like the antlers behind him. My guess is he likes bagging big game, all the while reliving Viet Nam.

Doesn't seem any scarier than shrub.

Hmm. "James L. Baldwin" v. "George Washington America" FITE. Wait a minute, "Just Kaus Committee"? I don't think the reference is intentional. And who is this "Albert Gore"?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Monday, 15 March 2004 20:26 (twenty-two years ago)

fifteen years pass...

Now, listen. Larry, are you listening? I can not believe that after all this time, there's no thread for Ross Perot on ILX. That's just a shame, you see? Ok? We're talking about the last independent candidate for president who garnered more than 15% of the vote. Ok? Now, no electoral votes, no, I grant you that. Only an out-and-out racist like George Wallace could get those, but ol' Ross Perot just doesn't have that kind of hate inside him, see? No, the only thing Ross Perot's got inside him is the American spirit, half a dozen fried pickles and a great big thirst for the thrill of competition. So all that said, why doesn't Ross Perot have his own thread on ILX? Guess that's something for the people to decide a little futher down the road a ways. For now, I'm ready to take a call. Who's up, Larry?
