I idly agreed to sing for a friend's pere ubu tribute gig the other month, thinking "this'll never actually happen" EXCEPT IT WILL!!@# now I have to learn "non-alignement pact", "final solution" and er one other number to be determined in 2 weeks. I mean I know the lyrics & stuff BuT i HaVe NeVeR SaNG BeFoRe iN MY LiFe!!1!!! OMG!! OMG!! OMG!!!1

Should I actually practice (& risk dear wife laughing at me, plus small child crying in terror) or just wing it on the night? I'll probably take blacet research synthesiser modules to do allen ravenstine squawks & warbles w/.

Dude. I will totally take your place. It's so much fun to sing Pere Ubu songs, especially "Caligari's Mirror." The ones you mentioned seem pretty easy, you can pull them off without worrying about "singing," you can just do a shouty thing and be fine. It's all about showmanship.
