County commissioners uphold gay marriage in Oregon

(Haven't heard what's going on in Washington state, yet. There, it's a lawsuit filed by the gay couples stating that the same-sex marriage ban in WA state is unconstitutional)

I'm a lifelong Portlander. I'm glad the county commisioners are doing the right thing. A tip of the hat is due to the Supreme Courts in Hawaii and Massachusetts and to the San Francisco mayor for paving the way. I only hope that the Oregon electorate doesn't rush out and amend the state constitution to enshrine discrimination, as the reactionary right wing will no doubt put it on the ballot ASAP.
