Perhaps? The actual site itself.

but the site's been online for over 12 months? I guess they wanted to avoid another census fiasco, and so had a 12 month non-publicised trial...

Vicky (Vicky), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I wondered how long it'd take you to post

chris (chris), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:10 (twenty-two years ago)

expensive!

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Not as expensive as a trip to London....

Vicky (Vicky), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:16 (twenty-two years ago)

that is a good point!

but I think they should only charge people who NEED the information or the people who will USE it for something.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:18 (twenty-two years ago)

That would be an interesting but somewhat controversial pricing strategy.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:21 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, I guess some people might try to take advantage.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:23 (twenty-two years ago)

By pretending they only want to look at things for trivial reasons.

N. (nickdastoor), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:24 (twenty-two years ago)

this is one of the few reasons that the future will be better.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 11:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I live around the corner. Why do I need it on the web? ;-)

The River Kate (kate), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Round the corner?! the BL might be round the corner, but the national archives aren't unless you've just moved to Kew ;0)

Vicky (Vicky), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 13:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, wait, sorry, I got confused. The National Sound Archives are round the corner. The National Archives are indeed out in Kew, I should remember this from when HSA was doing all that Imber research.
