My god, I nearly fainted when I saw that cursivy BOOTS logo!

Mandee, Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Am I silly to get this excited over beauty products?

Mandee, Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I guess Target had to get a brit brand of their own since Walmart carries Rimmel.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:31 (twenty-two years ago)

A little touch of the UK for US!

Oh God, it’s another day
And your stomach is feeling like a blown up balloon
You should have never eaten that greasy food
The doctor told you that chili is bad for your blood
And you're standing at the chemist at Boots...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:32 (twenty-two years ago)

AAAGH! OMG! HOLY BALLS! WHO WANTS TO DRIVE ME TO SUPER TARGET NOW??

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:37 (twenty-two years ago)

holy balls?

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

wow i think i jus had some sort of non-drug induced flashback

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:38 (twenty-two years ago)

It's some sorta Dio/AC/DC crossover.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:41 (twenty-two years ago)

yes, holy balls. you don't know how much i love boots products, and how much their absence in the u.s. pains me.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 22:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank God... readily available codeine (for toothaches!).

andy, Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:06 (twenty-two years ago)

wal-mart has rimmel?

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:28 (twenty-two years ago)

lauren, you may as well BE my wife (uh, that sounded like a proposal. What I meant was you and she might as well be the same person).

There appear to be NO Super Targets in the Bay Area though. Are they at normal Puny Targets as well?

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Actually, they might only be in Denver... because the commercial I heard on the radio just now said "Boots products are now available at select Super Targets in Denver." but wtf that would be weird. And my friend in Omaha said that the Super Target there had NO Boots. This is strange and mysterious!

Mandee, Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:34 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe they are testing it out at certain stores/markets?

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:34 (twenty-two years ago)

they're for the giant anglophilic enclave known as Lakewood, of course.

Now I have even one more reason to hate Colorado, hogging the Boots!

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe I should call and ask.

Mandee, Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:35 (twenty-two years ago)

i'm going to get to the bottom of this.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I found an article about it at denverpost.com but their stupid website is being an asshole.

mandee, Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, it is just a Denver thing. I'd better go BUY SOME so Y'ALL CAN EXPERIENCE THE JOY!!

mandee, Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:42 (twenty-two years ago)

i'll check out the super target sometime this week (not like I need a reason to go. . .)

Ask For Samantha (thatgirl), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Okay, I feel kinda like a big jerk for bringing this up and it not being a nationwide thang.

mandee, Tuesday, 16 March 2004 23:46 (twenty-two years ago)

everybody! let's get mandee!

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 00:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Nah, that's unfun!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 01:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I would rather have a Super Targay than a Boots, any day, any day, any day.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 01:37 (twenty-two years ago)

denver!? this is unfair. it's okay, though, mandee. you didn't know the havoc you were going to wreak.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 01:39 (twenty-two years ago)

wal-mart has rimmel?

Oh yeah. And any old Wal-Mart, too. I've gone to really old regular Wal-Marts and they have Rimmel right in the makeup section. What's interesting is that I totally do the Rimmel thing because it's one of the bargain-priced makeup lines I adore so very, very much.

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 03:16 (twenty-two years ago)

But yeah. Super Target is fabulous by its lonesome. I mean, God, you can get Isaac Mizrahi clothing AND some boneless, skinless chicken tenders AND a new set of personal headphones AND a KitchenAid mixer ALL IN THE SAME STORE. :)

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 03:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha, I went to my regular Target for a blender & ended up with cute Isaac strappy sandels, a little lamp for my bedroom, and Downy Wrinkle Releaser (which the supermarkets by me never seem to have but I adore- NO IRONING, WHOO!!!). Plus the blender.

lyra (lyra), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 03:39 (twenty-two years ago)

holy balls

cinniblount (James Blount), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 03:42 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah but jerry now we get super target and BOOTS IN ONE PACKAGE!!!

mandee, Wednesday, 17 March 2004 05:29 (twenty-two years ago)

two weeks pass...
FYI, saw Boots products at my regular target last week.

Ask For Samantha (thatgirl), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 00:35 (twenty-one years ago)

DAMN YOU TEXAS!!!

anthony kyle monday (akmonday), Tuesday, 6 April 2004 01:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I am so stopping at a Target on my lunch break tomorrow, then.

(I really do need to go to a Target, BTW. Need some AA batteries and they sell a certain brand, 4 for $1. Never a better deal anywhere.)
