They all contributed to what appears to be the official book/program/thing associated with this Nara exhibition. I admit I was taken by surprise (I just processed said book for Reserves, noticed this and expressed my bemusement to the professor adding the book for his class).

Insert obligatory photo of Momus with celeb under discussion here.

It's amazing to think Suzy and Momus ever broke up.

Dave Eggers looks scruffier than I expected.

So really, Billie Joe Armstrong, Leonard Nimoy, Deborah Harry, Carrie Brownstein, Dave Eggers and John Doe don't have anything in common with Nara, but they have Nara in common with each other.

They all like the colour blue best.

Well, Nara contributed to his own book, so theoretically they're collaborators.

okay, you're right then.

I wonder what Billie Joe had to say.

Weird. Why'd I think that Yoshitomo Nara was a woman, though? Or am I confusing him with a female Japanese artist with a similar style?

They are all half punk/half vulcan.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 19:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Nara has really bad taste in music.

Tis a wierd world when Billie Joe and Leonard Nimoy have similar tastes. Still, Nara's sculptures show his pride in the anime culture.
