Really cool people don't read the Christian Science Monitor, they read the much cleverer and trendier essays on the Momus website, where this phenomenon was not only noted a full three days before the Monitor article appeared, but given the much cooler abbreviated name used by Ver Kidz Vemselves, which is Hikki. (Doesn't it sound sexier already?)

And, while we're on the subject of prescience, I see that in today's Guardian George Monbiot finally comes to the same conclusion I reached on ILE about five weeks ago about the link between an Afghan war and the Unocal oil company's plans to build a pipeline through Afghanistan.
