Semi-permanent black

Does anyone know if Clairol Uncolor for semi-permanent dye will remove black? I used Natural Instincts in black and before I do it I was wondering if it would work or if it would just be a waste of time. The lady at Sally's gave me L'Oreal Colorzap and it says right on the box not to use on semi-permanent. Needless to say, that got returned. Any recommendations?
