I just purchaced a new computer for my Pro-tools system. It was custom built. The builder was out of Windows XP disc, so they loaded a copy of XP on my system. Microsoft then issued me a registration code. All is good.
Then the biulder sends me my new XP with a new code. Can I load that on my old computer without Bill Gates sending a death squad to my house? And what if I have to reload windows to my new computer? Can I purchace 1 copy of XP and run it on 2 machines?
