Dan? I know you're out there...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 20 March 2004 02:12 (twenty-two years ago)

He should keep the stubble

Nate in ST.P (natedetritus), Saturday, 20 March 2004 02:41 (twenty-two years ago)

christopher who?

Adam Thompson (adamth), Saturday, 20 March 2004 02:54 (twenty-two years ago)

eccleston's great (my fondest memories are his police chief in cracker; recently he's played jesus - as a man city fan).
he's got the mad starey eyes and 'edge' to be a good doctor.

I need to watch more Dr Who so I can exorcise the demons from my childhood- the giant maggots and such were terrifying. I also need to rent day of the triffids for that matter. And the episode of Macgyver where there were flesh eating ants.

Menelaus Darcy (Menelaus Darcy), Saturday, 20 March 2004 05:51 (twenty-two years ago)

this might actually work

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 20 March 2004 11:42 (twenty-two years ago)

"Shallow Grave" people! He is hella scary in that.

Nick H (Nick H), Saturday, 20 March 2004 16:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not a big fan, he reminds of the beautiful south for some reason.

jel -- (jel), Saturday, 20 March 2004 16:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Dude, he was TWEAKED in "Shallow Grave"!

I will be more excited when I see the show.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 20 March 2004 18:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Explain the concept of being "tweaked", I am unfamiliar.

Nick H (Nick H), Saturday, 20 March 2004 18:32 (twenty-two years ago)

Bugged out, really disturbing and frightening.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 20 March 2004 18:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Ham alert! Ham alert!

Chuck Tatum (Chuck Tatum), Saturday, 20 March 2004 18:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Charisma-free actor alert!

Chuck Tatum (Chuck Tatum), Saturday, 20 March 2004 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I have never liked him.

the bluefox, Saturday, 20 March 2004 18:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I think he's great, although I think Ian Hart may have been better

chris (chris), Saturday, 20 March 2004 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

the pinefox would have made a good doctor who.

jel -- (jel), Saturday, 20 March 2004 18:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Ian Hart is awesome. Chrisopher Eccleston is a great actor but he's a real Master Thespian Ac-TOR and a bugger and a half to interview because 'it's all about the craft' (insert 'maaaaan').

Best Dr. Who related story I have heard in some time regards the seduction skills of one Tom Baker, who upon the pants-off bit of the evening said 'Tom's going in now!' to his partner.

suzy (suzy), Saturday, 20 March 2004 21:22 (twenty-two years ago)

It was actually "Tom's putting it in now", which is funnier.

Chriddof (Chriddof), Saturday, 20 March 2004 22:18 (twenty-two years ago)

What-ev-er.

suzy (suzy), Saturday, 20 March 2004 22:29 (twenty-two years ago)

It was you he said it to, wasn't it?

fortunate hazel (f. hazel), Saturday, 20 March 2004 22:44 (twenty-two years ago)

No, I think it was Chriddof. But Tom Baker does drive around Marylebone in a Rolls-type car in a shade that suggests all his money was earned in the late '70s.

suzy (suzy), Saturday, 20 March 2004 22:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Just so everyone is clear what is happening?

I will have to do an emergency internet search on what Tom Baker actually looks like. I hope this does not disturb me as much as hearing stories about Adam West and whoever acted as robin in the 60's series seduction prowess.

Menelaus Darcy (Menelaus Darcy), Sunday, 21 March 2004 10:05 (twenty-two years ago)

It burns! It burns!

Menelaus Darcy (Menelaus Darcy), Sunday, 21 March 2004 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Haha "Tom's going in now" is almost as good as the legendary apocryphal "Brace yourself! You are about to have Jamie Theakston!"

Matt DC (Matt DC), Sunday, 21 March 2004 11:00 (twenty-two years ago)

That Tom's putting it in now story is a very old popbitch chestnut.

chris (chris), Sunday, 21 March 2004 22:11 (twenty-two years ago)

Michael Grade will axe it again, hurray, I win.

Jaunty Alan (Alan), Friday, 2 April 2004 10:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I opened this thread expecting it to be Orlando Bloom.
