On an email group for my old friends, quizzes have been very popular of ate, so I set the following. Might as well run it here, in case anyone fancies taking a crack at it - but that circle of friends was made through comics fandom and is written to challenge that very knowledgeable bunch, so I think these will be tough for non-specialists. No answers on the thread please, to allow others to have a go. Send them to me by email instead! Since there is nothing to win, I hope you'll be honest about which you knew and which you looked up.

Is anyone actually reading this before answering? 2-1 answers on thread vs answers by email so far... Fortunately, it's 50-50 right and wrong so far.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 21 March 2004 23:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Huck, Monday, 22 March 2004 05:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry Huck - is the new one up as high as that? I meant the silver age series.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Monday, 22 March 2004 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

and if I email you my answers you'll tell me the correct ones?

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 22 March 2004 14:30 (twenty-two years ago)

and yeah, the next GL will be the big whoop-dee-dull of #175. I thought that having a question about a really recent issue was incongruous with the rest of them.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 22 March 2004 14:31 (twenty-two years ago)

Especially as I wrote these several years ago! About 1995 or '96, I think. I'll put up the answers, as best I know them, in a day or two.
