On the whole, which group has the better record?

The Brady Bunch Movie has it all over "The Star Wars Holiday Special", and "My Big Fat Greek Life," so I guess the former.

Buffy and MASH give the win to TV shows based on movies.

"My Big Fat Greek Life" was utterly lame because it actually backtracked from the movie some -- the movie ended some six or seven years after the time period the TV show seemed to begin. Plus, there were some annoyingly huge story and plot conflicts between the movie and TV show, starting with the fact that the husband's name changed in the transition from film to TV. I did highly appreciate the fact that Toula's parents were played by the same people both on the TV show and in the film, because Michael Constantine and Lainie Kazan were absolutely brilliant and truly delightful, though I think they were just slightly caricature-ish in the TV show (prob. due to the scripts or something). If the TV show had been more faithful to the movie, I think that I would've SO gone for the show AND I think the show would've actually become successful.

I'm thinking this would be an entertaining thing for the rest of the summer -- "Best Film Based on a TV Show." 2-3 weeks for nominations, 2-3 weeks for voting, a week for the reveal. Good idea or bad?
