What can I use to get hair dye off my skin???

My question is what can you use if you get hair dye on your skin? Because I used the Dark & Lovely Natural Black hair dye and I had got some on my face,hand and my ears. And was wondering if you had some suggestions on what I could use..

toothpaste works...but make sure you use PASTE and not GEL....it's the granules in the toothpaste that help scrub it off.

I've found that sitting in a steam room or in a really hot sauna sweats it out faster than scrubbing or anything else.

Razors.....see if your scrape all the skin off where the dye is...it all works well.....but then you have the acesss bleeding...but it still works pretty good

Think of hair dye as the tarnish on silver or the green on copper. To get it off, mix the ash from one whole cig with a pea-sized dollop of pump soap (and some bicarbonate of soda if you want abraision). Applied to an old dirty penny, this cleans it in seconds. Now to the hair. Apply this paste to the affected area (your hairline and around the ears, probably) and then scrub hard before thoroughly washing your hair, scrubbing scalp etc. Repeat again if you still see the ring of dye - but no more after this.

If you dye your hair a dark colour it takes about 48 hours for the colour to go from the scalp no matter what but the cig-ash thing will allow you to leave the house on the first night without looking like a freak. Lots of dyed skin exfoliates the next morning when you wash, and it's all gone by hair wash three.

Soap and shampoo have always done the trick for me. What doesn't go away by light scrubbing the night I dye it is gone after I take a shower the next morning.

That's for real dyes. The one time I tried Manic Panic I was fucked.

Not much help now, but a tip i picked up when i was a saturday girl in a hair salon, was to rub the tint in into the hairline as you rinse it off, it loosens any tint that's stained the skin and should mean that there's no staining when you've finished rinsing.

well, i was sceptical but the oxy pads worked!!! i used the sensitive ones. i've seen someone try nail varnsih remover and get in their earings...it wasn't good. Go with the pads. Stain remover the best though.

one year passes...

its true...hair dye takes out hair dye.. rub a little bit of that into the stain then rinse right away.. other wise try using the conditioner...i think this works real well with the cheaper stuff... even better, prior to dyeing...lay on a thick layer of conditioner aroud the hair line and neck.. there will be no stainage after you wash.

I nearly had a hair dye disaster last night. Rich dark chestnut brown seemed to be turning me into Cuddles the Chimp (IMG SRC="http://www.henderson-management.co.uk/img5.jpg">). I washed it off after three minutes and all is well, but it was a lucky escape!

I have done the same at times and what worked for me was good old fashioned javex on a cloth and don't scrub too hard. It bleaches the dye right out.

yeah, same thing happened to me just now. i tried the toothpaste, astringent, and nail polish remover, they all failed for me. but bleach worked really well. it all came off. only downside is the smell and in definetly burns.

I just used bicarbonate of soda mixed with a little bit of water. Made it into a paste and rubbed it around my hairline, it worked well as a gentle abrasive and is cheap and not dangerous (no chemicals that can burn)!

i had dye all over my hairline, so i used everything in my room to see what worked... i found that the best thing was cold cream... it is used to take off makeup...put a big glop on the area, let sit for a like 20 min... then take a gauze pad and wipe it off HARD!... thanks no applause

I had dyed my hair Black and somehow gotten dye on the tip of my index finger. I did'nt want to run out to the store again so I tried the Bleach and it did work but it did'nt get all of the dye off of my nail, but hey it was good enough and it does work with a old toothbrush and try sticking ur finger in a cup of bleach for awhile.

Hair dye off skin:
Bleach (prolly fastest but can feel/smell terrible)
Peroxide (not as fast but less awful)
NEXT TIME RUB SOME FUCKING VASELINE OVER YOUR EARS AND RIGHT BELOW YOUR HAIRLINE AND/OR STOP SPAZZING OUT ALL OVER YOUR ENTIRE BODY WITH BLACK HAIR DYE AND YOU WON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM EVER AGAIN (easiest)

Self-tanning accidents:
If it is a small place like a blotch on the heel or knee, take a nail file and rub the skin off
Rub whitening toothpaste on the spot
Grin and bear it, Oompa Loompa

OK thank you for alerting me to that which I've left out.

DYING YOUR HAIR REPEATEDLY
It depends on the brand and the process, how often you really should do it. No more than once a month (unless you are in an actual emergency situation and your hair has gone a horrible color and needs correction--in this instance GO TO A SALON, NOT YOUR OWN HOUSE). Wait as long as you can between colorings because even if you're careful about applying it to the roots only it'll get everywhere. Additionally, make sure to use some deep conditioner occasionally between dyings, which will help keep your hair from breaking too badly.
