Take for example: I just got the D* C*p* 2k2 (am I allowed to mention that?) and read the Strokes Thread -- I would never have ventured past the first couple posts reading online about a band I have no interest in whatsoever, whereas in its printed form, I read and even enjoyed it and understood it better, and if the whole thread had been reproduced, I would've read it in its entirety.
So paper has a calmness, a slower pace that lets me appreciate its content more than sprites on a monitor can do.
