Is Fundamentalism the Fast Food of Religion?

Isn't Fundamentalism sort of the fast food of religion? It provides you with answers, opinions, beliefs in one handy package without having to really do much actual religious thought, contemplation or practice. Maybe it's the perfect religious solution to the modern age in that sense. Anyway, do you agree, disagree, or have your own opinions on this?
