Miller is such a pathetic figure. He once had the same (none-too-intelligent) political outlook as Bill Maher, but I guess he figures being the funny Limbaugh is a better career move.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Thursday, 25 March 2004 21:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Limbaugh is serious?!

Eric H. (Eric H.), Thursday, 25 March 2004 21:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I was about to say...

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 25 March 2004 21:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Serious in some hoary netherworld.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 25 March 2004 21:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't say that. He's just not funny. Miller used to be funny on occasion.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Thursday, 25 March 2004 21:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Not really, though. Even back in the day Miller mostly just smirked at his own jokes.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 25 March 2004 21:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think Maher's political outlook is particularly bright either, but it's not the same as Miller's. Maher is also genuinely funny and a pretty good interviewer.

Colin Beckett (Colin Beckett), Thursday, 25 March 2004 22:10 (twenty-two years ago)

All that plus he's a genuine tool!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 26 March 2004 01:06 (twenty-two years ago)

They aren't close anymore, but in the last half of the Clinton era, they were both doing an angry white male libertarian schtick, very similar in content.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Friday, 26 March 2004 01:10 (twenty-two years ago)

alterman was radiating an unhappiness at being there, you have to admit, from the word go

duke columbia, Friday, 26 March 2004 01:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Eh he's always like that. He was great on Jon Stewart and he had the same lucid jaw-grinding kind of thing going on, like he was on an E comedown. Miller though - wow, that's just embarrassing.

I don't understand the reasoning behind giving a man who can't cut it as a Monday Night Football commentator a job discussing national politics.

adam (adam), Friday, 26 March 2004 01:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Speaking of Rush...

Sym (shmuel), Friday, 26 March 2004 04:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Limbaugh is serious?!

Taken seriously by a number of vocal, angry white males.

j.lu (j.lu), Friday, 26 March 2004 04:17 (twenty-two years ago)

four years pass...

Dennis Miller: Liberal women hate Sarah Palin because ‘she has a great sex life.’

She’s a great dame. People are fascinated by her because the Left hate her. I think the Left hate her — mostly women on the Left hate her — because to me from outside in it appears that she has a great sex life, all right? I think she has non-neurotic sex with that Todd Palin guy. … I think that snow mobile looks like mechanized foreplay to me and that’s why people are fascinated.

with vid, too! if you can stomach it

ugh. That makes me feel ashamed for him.

fiscal liberal (kenan), Friday, 14 November 2008 19:56 (seventeen years ago)

Why would you want to stomach it?

Alex in SF, Friday, 14 November 2008 19:56 (seventeen years ago)

wow, dennis miller!

TOMBOT, Friday, 14 November 2008 19:58 (seventeen years ago)

he's sitting there rubbing himself with a copy of Newsweek and he thinks "I'm gonna flip it on 'em! Flipmode is the skwizzod... Lefty women HATE sarah palin, because, because, she has a great sex life! she has great sex with the eskimo! yes! brilliant!"

absolutely every reaction to this woman has told us so much more about these insane freaks than we ever needed to know

TOMBOT, Friday, 14 November 2008 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

do you think dennis miller reads daybydaycartoon?

TOMBOT, Friday, 14 November 2008 20:02 (seventeen years ago)

He only gets around to reading it after he's finished his other business with it.

fiscal liberal (kenan), Friday, 14 November 2008 20:03 (seventeen years ago)

The only other person I can imagine trotting out the "liberal shrews are just jealous" argument is Ann Coulter.

No, wait I thought of one more: Gene Simmons.

fiscal liberal (kenan), Friday, 14 November 2008 20:06 (seventeen years ago)

"What do you think of the has-been comedian? Is he on the level?"

WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Friday, 14 November 2008 20:07 (seventeen years ago)

You're in the Situation Room.
