I really hate that poem. We had some dickhead woman (some local councillers or state politicians wife who considered herself to be a professional public speaker) come to our school and do a whole speech based on that poem. Firstly she was crap. Secondly I think she plagarised the speech. Thirdly the poem is crap. Fourthly the poem is American. Fifthly we had just had to study that bloody poet in English and he's crap. Sixthly all our stupid teachers feel ripped off and sorrowful and so it has particular poignancy for them and it's not as if any of them could have cut it in the real world so they should start celebrating the present, improve the future, and get over the past.
