Yes I have, and pretty damn fast indeed. Good memories. :-)

ahem.

this is ile. there is no place for your -joy- here. ;)

jess, Thursday, 25 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Its not about my joy, its about YOURS. I am merely a scapegoat for joy.

rainy, Thursday, 25 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i have no joy. i sold it for drug money.

(cue ned, mocking my crippling addiction to dimetapp.)

I haven't felt that way in a while.

I feel that way every time a new warehouse catalogue comes out

death to happiness, the revolution begins...now.

I felt like this a lot when I was a student in Bristol, but haven't since, which I find really perplexing. All the evidence would point the other way; I was single then (most of the time) but I'm not now, I had far less money, I was far more cautious and shy. Oxford is a smaller city where I feel more at home. All I can think is that it was the liberation of being away from home for the first time which was the determining factor.

Yes. My heart was beating very quickly. Then I realised that actually I was just on top of Monument and my heart was beating quickly due to climbing lots of very steep, twisty, slippery stairs to a VERY HIGH location in the sky and THE FEAR. It was pretty ace though. Samuel Pepys had left graffitti there before us though.

An American lady pointed towards a radio tower in the vague Kent direction. She gasped.

Oh my gawwwd is that the EIFFEL TOWER???

I was pleased with the Arsemonkeys deadpan reply of "No, wrong country".

I used "though" at the end of too many sentences. Kill me.

Sarah, Friday, 26 October 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

on drugs at glastonbury? uh, otherwise... i felt pretty fucking elated when I did the Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu. it sort of looked like the top of the world too, sorta

This morning I got off the bus and thought I was flying for a moment. It wasn't a happy on top of the world feeling, just a "oh look i'm up in the air, how interesting" feeling. I liked it.

Coming off the dancefloor after a couple of hours of strenuous movement I feel as though I weigh two pounds and am floating past everyone.
