yeah...first, i thought i was disqualified from the thread, being that i'm not a Native American and all.

then, i thought Antmusic78 was doing what a lot of people do: use "american" and "white/caucasian/euro-american/anglo/etc..." interchangeably--which is a bit of a peeve of mine

then, i thought s/he may have mixed up the word "race" to actually mean Nationality, which i think is a pretty harmless mix up...

nonetheless, the question is a bit confusing...maybe we should diagram this sentence

Yeah, I was about to say... I think some of us are making just as many assumptions as the original thread-starter...

Mind you, it's still a stupid-ass question to ask, because the assumption that one person belongs to one "race", no matter what it is, is really purile and childish... but I don't think the person was assuming "American" = "caucasion". He/she/it was "wanting to know" what someone in the U.S. of a "particular race" (again, stupid simplification) "does" when he or she dates someone not of that "particular race".
