I am sitting in an university computer lab at the moment and somewhere in the room is an indian man who is singing his local songs at a volume just loud enugh to penetrate one's consciousness, linger and be impossible to ignore. Would I be justified in getting violent in this situation? Or should I buy into those namby pamby free speech and tolerant mores?

it didn't really annoy me, i just thought it was wierd. don't get violent, that would be rude. he has stopped now anyway.

since when has that ever stopped me? am I alone in the irrational annoyance I get with some peoples tics? what habits would other people put on their hit list?

I hate it when you are talking to someone and they either say the last few word of your sentence with you (with a tiny lag) or repeat them after you. I know two guys who do this and both of them are really lovely guys but after spending more than half an hour or so with them I just want to bash them.
