Ableton Live 2.0

I have Ableton 2.0 software installed on my computer. I just bought a MIDI keyboard(Oxygen8) and can't seem to make it work with Ableton. I'm sure there is something I am doing wrong with the MIDI setup, and any help would be awesome. Thanks!

you select your computer's midi input in the options

are you trying to use your keyb in more than one app at the same time?
