Hey, today is 04/04/04!

what are you doing for this special alignment of numbers?

A Nairn (moretap), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Umm, my Literature homework, play guitar, umm, I don't know.

You know, I'm on my school basket ball team and I'm number 4!!

Amazing. We had a game yesterday and own by one point! We got so many bad calls because the refs were agianst us. We got so lucky that they ended up giving me my fouls shots in the last quarter. They didn't give us all the fouls shots we were supossed to get and they said that our team fouled when the girl from the other team fell. Just awful.

Also, there was this girl that thought she could distract us be making this annoying, unhuman like sound. All it did was have us enjoy making fun of her. It was like she had to be sent to a mental institution. I said "It's like she has ADD."

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

waiting until 4:44 and 44 seconds

zappi (joni), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:27 (twenty-one years ago)

did you know British people can't get ADD? It's proven by science.

MarkH (MarkH), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Umm, I live in America and I think it's very posible this girl had ADD.

If she didn't, I want to shoot her with a tranquilizer! Then maybe put her in the Amazon.

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:32 (twenty-one years ago)

or on Amazon.

MarkH (MarkH), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think any one would like to buy her.

Or maybe they would just for looks. She was after all one of those blond rich kids.

It was the poor school playing the rich school and the poor school winning. The only thing that seemed weird was the fact that that was a rich school and it seemed like they didn't have enough shorts for the sports teams. Some of the girls on the other team were wearing shorts from home. Only less than half their team had the uniform shorts. It was weird.

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:45 (twenty-one years ago)

this all sounds uncomfortably like scenes from Some Kind of Wonderful.

MarkH (MarkH), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:47 (twenty-one years ago)

There was a football match last weekend where the crowd was 4,444 and the score was 4-4. Just a week early. (Might have been Chesterfield playing, I think.)

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know what that is but I did feel uncorfortable there. Probably more so than on High way 1. We had to go from SF all the way to Half Moon Bay. It was crazy! This team was never in our leauge till this season. What happened? It seems like they are in a different distric than all the other teams. We went way out of our way to get there. I just hope we don't have to play at that gym agian.

(x post)

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 13:53 (twenty-one years ago)

4:44! (hopefully)

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 4 April 2004 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

can't wait for 05/05/05.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Sunday, 4 April 2004 14:47 (twenty-one years ago)

me neither! It's gonna rock!

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 4 April 2004 14:49 (twenty-one years ago)

More so than today?

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

lesse. . .i'm airing my cats, sunning my Chingy, buying some fresh greens for the latter, entertaining one of the two boyfriends i've suddenly ended up with and oh, yeah, some laundry.

is this the day we're all supposed to smoke out?

Ask For Samantha (thatgirl), Sunday, 4 April 2004 14:53 (twenty-one years ago)

surely its the laundry you're airing, not the cats?

(MarkH has vision of cats hanging on washing line)

MarkH (MarkH), Sunday, 4 April 2004 14:57 (twenty-one years ago)

It started raining at around 4:44, now it's chucking down hail stones. I feel sorry for the pple playing football.

jel -- (jel), Sunday, 4 April 2004 15:00 (twenty-one years ago)

It's quite sunny in Croydon, oddly enough.

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Sunday, 4 April 2004 15:01 (twenty-one years ago)

surely its the laundry you're airing, not the cats?
(MarkH has vision of cats hanging on washing line)

hey I tried the dryer. bad, bad idea.

Ask For Samantha (thatgirl), Sunday, 4 April 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

It's gray, just gray over here.

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe it's the apocalypse.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 4 April 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Not for another 8 years.

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 15:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't think any one would like to buy her.
Or maybe they would just for looks. She was after all one of those blond rich kids.

*inserts uncharacteristically misogynistic statement*
*gets coat*
Hey Aj, (does anybody ever call you Aj, you know like the way Barney called Andy, Anj?) do you have some fore-knowlage of the coming apocolypse? Or are you jut being teenagey-I'll-die-before-I'm-20? ; )

Speedy (Speedy Gonzalas), Sunday, 4 April 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Umm, I'm just saying that because the Inca, (or was it the Aztecs?), believed the end of the Earth would come on Dec, 2(2?), 2012.

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

waiting until 4:44 and 44 seconds

Wouldn't 04:04:04 on 04/04/04 have made more sense?

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Sunday, 4 April 2004 16:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Not to me it wouldn't (given that I wasn't that long back from the pub at that point)

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 4 April 2004 16:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I was in renfrew.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 4 April 2004 16:55 (twenty-one years ago)

have you lost the street?

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 4 April 2004 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

the street was near the swimming pool and police station and had an indian takeaway, on.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 4 April 2004 17:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Wouldn't 04:04:04 on 04/04/04 have made more sense?

what, waiting around for a purely arbitrary set of numbers to happen has got to make sense?

zappi (joni), Sunday, 4 April 2004 17:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, I can't get excited about that.

I'm waiting for 11:11 AM and PM on 11/11/11.

Gear! (Gear!), Sunday, 4 April 2004 17:25 (twenty-one years ago)

You'd better be waiting for 12/12/12 because the end will be less than two weeks away!!!

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 17:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I wrote an entry in my diary on 9/9/99 saying how intersting a day it was, and something which I can't really decipher the says it was the 30th aniversery of some landmark in space exploration. (possibly moon landing?)

A Nairn (moretap), Sunday, 4 April 2004 17:30 (twenty-one years ago)

that's round the corner from where I live (well, round a few corners). you could have come and said hello except i would have been asleep, or in the pub.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 4 April 2004 17:31 (twenty-one years ago)

It's my sister's birthday.

NA (Nick A.), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Tell her happy birthday

Aja (aja), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:16 (twenty-one years ago)

My sister is at her college roommate's wedding. The ex-roommate at first denied she had chosen the date because it was 04/04/04, and therefore all the more memorable.

Then through work I know a woman who selected her wedding date, January 2, 2003, figuring 01/02/03 would also be highly memorable.

j.lu (j.lu), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Assuming one is going to have trouble remembering one's own wedding anniversary is an inauspicious start to a marriage.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow, do you know what this means, people? Every year + month + day, we get a three-way month/day/year alignment until 2012!

Which means... well, it's just fucking cool. trust me.

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:39 (twenty-one years ago)

The events of the prophesied second lome-alignment are painted on the ceiling of the chapel in my mind, but today is an unexpected bonus.

thirty secondly (04/04/04)

Cruciverbalist, Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Of course, we all fondly remembered out 01/01/01, 02/02/02, and 03/03/03 days....

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:40 (twenty-one years ago)

(well maybe our 01/01/01 most likely)

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 4 April 2004 19:40 (twenty-one years ago)

My friend had a little baby daughter today, almost two weeks late.

Paul Eater (eater), Sunday, 4 April 2004 20:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Jung was fascinated by the number four.

But I'm not, FIVE KICKS FOUR'S ASS!

latebloomer (latebloomer), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I just killed a big flying bug of some sort. Killed it dead.

Skottie, Monday, 5 April 2004 04:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Skottie, do you know that your post is the 44th post on this thread?

latebloomer (latebloomer), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:21 (twenty-one years ago)

man, who cares now. It's already the 5th.

A Nairn (moretap), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:29 (twenty-one years ago)

:(
there's really no point in living anymore.

oops (Oops), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Oops there is a point. Tomorrow is Another Day.

DMTina (DMTina), Monday, 5 April 2004 05:06 (twenty-one years ago)

but it's a calendar day composed of dissimilar numbers. as is the day after that. and the day after that. *SIGH*

oops (Oops), Monday, 5 April 2004 05:24 (twenty-one years ago)

you will get thru it *hugs*

Orbit (Orbit), Monday, 5 April 2004 05:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't wait till the June 6th, 2006, then we can have a 6/6/6 thread!

latebloomer (latebloomer), Monday, 5 April 2004 08:39 (twenty-one years ago)

stevem (blueski), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:12 (twenty-one years ago)
