I wasn't aware any colours of the spectrum had any more musicality than others.

However I don't think that's what you were getting at.

Well, I sort of liked "Everything's Coming Up Roses" back in the eighties, but I don't remember him having *that* more rhythm than, say, George Strait or L'Trimm or Elliot Sharp, so...

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Monday, 5 April 2004 01:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Lewis Black's comic timing is very rhythmical

Sym (shmuel), Monday, 5 April 2004 01:47 (twenty-two years ago)

George Strait or L'Trimm or Elliot Sharp

Hey, you're not Chuck Eddy! *hides*

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 5 April 2004 01:48 (twenty-two years ago)

No, I'm Jack Thompson of Swellsville, punk.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Monday, 5 April 2004 01:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Fuckin' right on.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 5 April 2004 01:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I have no rhythm. Go back to bed.

Donna Brown (Donna Brown), Monday, 5 April 2004 02:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Pie are not square, they're round.

Skottie, Monday, 5 April 2004 04:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I like Elliot Sharp too!

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you have Abstract Repressionism? I really like that one.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Hmmm...let me check...

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Anybody see Arrested Development last night? George Michael was going on about how being punctual and having rhythm were the same thing, because they were both about "knowing how long it takes to do things."
I think he's the best thing about that show, well, him and Gob.

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 5 April 2004 14:48 (twenty-two years ago)

"more"

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 5 April 2004 14:50 (twenty-two years ago)

black isn't a colour.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 5 April 2004 14:52 (twenty-two years ago)

but rhythm IS a dancer

The Huckle-Buck (Horace Mann), Monday, 5 April 2004 14:58 (twenty-two years ago)

snap, as people seem to say.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 5 April 2004 15:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Not that I am that keen to take this stuff seriously, but while suggesting that black people have natural rhythm has become the mark of an idiot, it seems commonplace now to use its flipside 'dancing like a white guy', which surely completely implies the original anyway?
