@d@ml (nordicskilla), Monday, 5 April 2004 02:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha so sez the guy drinking merlot, eating filet minon and doing the HUSTLE!

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 5 April 2004 02:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I would love them more, I suppose, if I wasn't working, too.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 5 April 2004 02:36 (twenty-one years ago)

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Monday, 5 April 2004 02:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Emma williams (Emma williams), Monday, 5 April 2004 02:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Because I don't have a job and everyone who does is busy sleeping.

Insomniette, Monday, 5 April 2004 02:58 (twenty-one years ago)

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:06 (twenty-one years ago)

monday morning

isadora (isadora), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:07 (twenty-one years ago)

sometimes i work sundays, sometimes i don't...sometimes i work on mondays and sometimes i don't...i've already graduated so i don't have classes...
but still i agree, sunday nights are always depressing.
poop.

stolenbus (stolenbus), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:09 (twenty-one years ago)

You know you have to shift gears, if you have weekends off. I don't have them off. I did once, but I don't these days. If I did, again, I would be depressed on Sunday nights, too.

But anyway, what day of the week don't we have to make adjustments?

I don't even know what I just said.

jim wentworth (wench), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:22 (twenty-one years ago)

i am feeling marvellously listless right now

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

This Sunday sucks because I was hired for a sweet four week job this afternoon and then this evening I found out the bossman of the show wanted to bring in one of his people, so I got nepotized right out of the highest-paying gig I would have ever had.

Gear! (Gear!), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Didn't really suck for me, though I had to leave a phone message with a friend who was out. Did talk to Arthur, though, and that's always groovy. Then I listened to a lot of music and read through the reprint of Brian Froud's World of the Dark Crystal, which is the rock. Soon I sleep.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:02 (twenty-one years ago)

In my own personal life, Sundays only suck because they go by so quickly. So many things I want to do on Sundays and such a short span of time -- I usually end up just being able to accomplish the household chores and reading the Sunday paper end of everything before going off to Mass and then sitting down in front of the computer to relax. Unless the TV gets me first.

Many Coloured Halo (Dee the Lurker), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:10 (twenty-one years ago)

i am listening to herbert, which has doubled or possibly tripled my listlessness

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:14 (twenty-one years ago)

(in a good way)

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:14 (twenty-one years ago)

school damage.

Ian Johnson (orion), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:17 (twenty-one years ago)

oh my fucking head

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:31 (twenty-one years ago)

This Sunday night doesn't suck at all. Cinnamon roll. Beer. Doctor Detroit

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Monday, 5 April 2004 04:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I still have that Brian Froud "World of the Dark Crystal" book around - I loved it when I was a kid, and should see it again.

jazz odysseus, Monday, 5 April 2004 04:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I've been having a great Sunday too, despite this headache that's been dogging me around all weekend.

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 5 April 2004 05:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I like Sundays. I get to reflect on what happened Saturday nights. Sundays are good.

Orbit (Orbit), Monday, 5 April 2004 05:36 (twenty-one years ago)

i find sundays depressing as well. i can't sleep because of that 'back to school' feeling, which means that my brain is spinning and thinking about the week ahead and i can't sleep.

usually, they are pretty boring.

but in recent months, i've managed to enjoy sunday nights by having a girls' night in, where we sit around at someone's house watching movies or tv, having some wine and reading more magazine.

much more fun, and low key enough that you don't feel bad about going out on a school night...

colette (a2lette), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Because life is all about anticipation.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:11 (twenty-one years ago)

saturday nights are the obsidian void. sunday nigths u have trev nelson to listen to, best show on radio yo!

prima fassy (mwah), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Because I didn't get to go and see the Mountain Goats last night :(

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I didn't see any mountain goats last night either, but this was more than compensated by winning £35 in a pub quiz.

MarkH (MarkH), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Mine was fantastic! I won at Scrabble three times, and ate chicken twice - once in kiev variety and once in southern fried!! Classical gas!!

Sarah (starry), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:17 (twenty-one years ago)

They suck since Channel 4 stopped showing the West Wing, since BBC lost 24 and since the X-files finished. I loved winding down with some solid TV watching, but am now totally at loose ends. The school night aspect limits options, which I why I love bank holiday weekends, as I love having drinkies on the Sunday because I can.

Colette OTM re: back to school insomnia. Used to get that bad at school. I remember a job where I'd had 2 weeks off for Christmas, then got a chest infection and had another week off. After 3 weeks away, I had massive BTS antitipcation, and could'nt sleep until 30 minutes before I had to get up to go to work. Not very amazingly, I fell asleep at work, slept on the train home and couldn't sleep the next night either. God, I hated that week.

Dave B (daveb), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Mine was very nice. I sat by my window drinking wine and eating posh chocolate. It would have been the most relaxing thing ever if my housemate hadn't been drumming downstairs.

Anna (Anna), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Sundays usually suck because even though its a day off, deep down you know you can't do anything too 'radical' cos its back to school tomorrow and it sort of makes the day just a waiting game, for me anyhoo. Plus most Sundays i am heavily hungover due to hummungous fri/sat night drink fest.

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Sunday nights are my relaxation time. The time when I don't feel guilty or depressed because I have Nothing. To. Do. I recover from the weekend and get ready for the next week. Last night, this involved prescription tranquillisers, but hey, it's been a stressful week to destress from, and more stress coming up in the week at hand.

I can't decide if I love Sunday afternoons for the laziest feeling or earth, or if I loathe them because of Back To School Phear. I think the tension of the two conflicting desires actually makes them fairly classic.

Super-Kate (kate), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:37 (twenty-one years ago)

They showed 'crouching tiger hidden dragon' last night (one of the few million movies I always plan to go and watch at the cinema and never go) so it was great!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:42 (twenty-one years ago)

they showed Night of the Living dead too, i wanted to watch it but i managed to fall asleep just before it started and woke up just as after it ended.

Ste (Fuzzy), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Watched that a few times before, they are showing the sequel, which is on wednesday night.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I didn't see any mountain goats last night either, but this was more than compensated by winning £35 in a pub quiz.

my non-mountain-goat-misery was also compensated by a pub quiz win (£30 - hurrah!) so that was OK then.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 5 April 2004 10:05 (twenty-one years ago)

sunday nights are the absolute worst for me as the crushing reality of school can send me into a panic. cue xanax

also, having social activity helps keep my mind off impending doom. as long the activity doesn't go too far and end up with me in an all-nude strip joint at 4 am. Not like, uh, that's happened or anything.
