sorry!
:-(

sunjammerr, Monday, 5 April 2004 03:48 (twenty-one years ago)

no offense but that sounds really disgusting.

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Wait - coffee and coke in theone glass? Do you have the coke hot or the coffee cold? It could end up a bit like a spider I guess (coffee flav icecream?). Nice doubledose of caffiene mmm. But the logistics confuse me. I'm seeing curdles.

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:50 (twenty-one years ago)

do you put coke in the coffee machine instead of water?

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I am now envisioning a glass of V (caffiene soft drink here, bit like Red Bull) with some espresso icecream dropped ito it. I'd be bouncing off the walls. Mmmm.

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 5 April 2004 03:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I'd rather put cream in my Coke.

Aaron A., Monday, 5 April 2004 03:55 (twenty-one years ago)

See... I thought it sounded disgusting as well, but its one of those things that could actually be very delicious.. I always assumed you get coffee, and pour in a hint of coke, but i never really got much details.
I dont think I'm going to try it tomorrow, the more i'm thinking of it, the worse it sounds.

sunjammer, Monday, 5 April 2004 03:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Well people put Kahlua in coke, which isnt all that much different I suppose!

I've been thinking

and I really do love all of you.

sunjammerr, Monday, 5 April 2004 04:00 (twenty-one years ago)

"mocha cola" = 1/4 strong cold coffee, 3/4 cola & ice. one of the better recipes from a collection I printed out off some website many years ago, along with the more dubious suggestion of "orange coffee"

Repost here:

There is a company that bottles a drink of this kind. I tried one and it was OK, but at $1.50 for 12 oz way overpriced. If you're just looking for a caffeine wake-up, stick to coffee.

You're all going to die of madness.

Sick Nouthall (Nick Southall), Monday, 5 April 2004 07:28 (twenty-one years ago)

If madness were terminal, there would be no ILX.

Super-Kate (kate), Monday, 5 April 2004 07:29 (twenty-one years ago)

This is true.

PEPSI KONA?

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:38 (twenty-one years ago)

"My opinion hasn't changed with the second gulp. It still tastes like barbecue sauce, but you know what, I kinda like it."

I was so sure A Nairn was lying.

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 5 April 2004 09:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Scott Seward orders this caffeine combo every time we go out for breakfast, but the waitress often forgets to bring one of them. He has them in separate containers.

Maria D., Monday, 5 April 2004 12:33 (twenty-one years ago)

"I was so sure A Nairn was lying. "

How could I be lying with a picture? You don't remember? It was the one after Crystal Pepsi and before Pepsi Twist.

Wait a second, that link says it was tested in Philadelphia. That's where I am, was Pepsi Kona never national?

A Nairn (moretap), Monday, 5 April 2004 13:16 (twenty-one years ago)

From what I found, it was never taken out of test marketing; it might've been a few places other than Philly (they sometimes sell things like that in very small areas in addition to the main area they test it in).

I thought the photo might be photoshopped! Photoshop can do anything these days. I had to check to be sure.

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 5 April 2004 13:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmmmm, i remember when Pepsi Kona hit Philly. I was so sad when they took it away from me. Those bastards.

Jolt Espresso!

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 5 April 2004 15:46 (twenty-one years ago)

now, surely that is photoshopped!

A Nairn (moretap), Monday, 5 April 2004 18:13 (twenty-one years ago)

It's real! I almost ordered some! The shipping is outrageous, though. ($20 on $15 worth of soda.)

Tep (ktepi), Monday, 5 April 2004 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

In the the course of googling coffee and cola I discovered it was a green tea & cola blend I was thinking of above. Cricket is the brand name, and all the comments still apply. Also, I once had a carbonated coffee beverage (may not have had cola in it) that had something to do with Ernest Borgnine (I swear!). I think he was the figurehead of the company and it was called Borgnine's or something.

Jolt espresso! See now I dont feel so weird about my V and coffee icecream spider thing. Tho V isnt cola flavoured, its more passiona flavoured, so that WOULD be cack.
