What's a good way to make a decent living that doesn't involve office life and looking at a computer all day?

By 'decent living' do you mean lots of cash?

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 8 April 2004 17:18 (twenty-one years ago)

No, not lots of cash, but enough to make rent and food and music.

well...this is a weird question cos it seems so obvious, but let's go:

gardener
fireman
pilot
truck driver
cook
model
hanger & decorator
robot manufacturer...

The last one would seem to involve at least partially looking at a computer.

Construction is a terrible way to earn a living. Too many economic shifts and medical problems.

Teaching gives you a decent wage and you're staring at a bunch of little shitheads instead of a computer.

create a blog, pretend you're a chick who wants to get breast implants, and promise people a post-op glance... if they give you $50$1000 (more money, more looking-time). then, once you have enough money, kill your alter ego off.

nb this blog should be created under a fake name and yeah it involves looking at a computer, but not for longer than an hour a day tops.

I just thought of a really stupendous one, but then you'd have to look at the computer to see it, and now I totally forgot what it was.

But seriously, paint houses. Practically no one paints their home's exterior anymore.. Read a little on procedure and you're an expert to your customers. Charge a premium. Listen to headphones all day while you work on your tan. Ladders are involved.
