Low-low-low quality teaser of Before Sunset footage, from a German film festival, I think.

I'm even more excited now, because it appears that Ethan Hawke isn't as annoying as usual.

Don't tell me that this is what it sounds like it is.

It is news to me, you see.

It must have been 9 years since I saw the previous film.

Nipper to thread, eventually.

the sunfox, Sunday, 11 April 2004 20:53 (twenty-one years ago)

i already started a thread on this!

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 11 April 2004 20:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Uhhh, I'm still worried about this being rub. I have such fond memories of the original and I fear it will sully them something awful.

Ricardo (RickyT), Sunday, 11 April 2004 20:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha, sorry. I just got excited at seeing the trailer. Dennis Lim gave it a big cheer in his Berlin festival report.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Sunday, 11 April 2004 20:58 (twenty-one years ago)

yeesh, this looks kinda bad.

stockholm cindy (Jody Beth Rosen), Sunday, 11 April 2004 21:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Will this actually get me into a movie theater? We will see.

gabbneb (gabbneb), Sunday, 11 April 2004 21:13 (twenty-one years ago)

PLEASE LET THIS BE GOOD

s1ocki (slutsky), Sunday, 11 April 2004 21:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Can Ethan Hawke be good in TWO movies though?

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 11 April 2004 22:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe he's been warming up for the sequel ever since.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 11 April 2004 22:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Can Ethan Hawke be good in TWO movies though?

I initially dropped the 'good' from this sentence and thought it a sound question still.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Society owes him a sequel.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah see, that's wrong and bad.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Have we not seen Tape or do we think the Prince of Annoying is bad in that too?

gabbneb (gabbneb), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:49 (twenty-one years ago)

We haven't seen Tape, probably because Robert Sean Leonard, Uma Thurman, Ethan Hawke and NOBODY ELSE doesn't excite the heart when at Hollywood video.

"we"?

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 12 April 2004 00:23 (twenty-one years ago)

It looks like it would be bad but it surprisingly good. Also, WTF?! TRAINING DAY BITATCHEHEHES

dean! (deangulberry), Monday, 12 April 2004 00:23 (twenty-one years ago)

ridicule is nothing be scared of

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Monday, 12 April 2004 00:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Training Day was a great bad movie. Why it got Oscars and Cruel Intentions didn't is beyond me.

miloauckerman (miloauckerman), Monday, 12 April 2004 00:53 (twenty-one years ago)

training day did stinketh but it could've been good! the first half was pretty great i thought, before it got all russian mafia style

s1ocki (slutsky), Monday, 12 April 2004 01:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Some of Denzel's least confident acting and they give him the Oscar. I think they did it to fuck with his head.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Monday, 12 April 2004 01:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Before Sunrise is vaguely charming in a goofy innocent "freshly scrubbed Americans in Europe" way. The sequel looks amazingly dreadful - two minutes into the trailer I wanted a bus to crash into their car and put them out of their (and ours) misery.

I was one of the half-dozen people who saw Tape. ZZZZZZZ....

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Monday, 12 April 2004 02:10 (twenty-one years ago)

i was also hoping that Julie Delpy's character would reveal herself to be her character in Killing Zoe and would lead Ethan Hawke into a death spiral of heroin, bank robbery, and depravity.

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Monday, 12 April 2004 02:13 (twenty-one years ago)

A documentary.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 12 April 2004 02:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Raggett is funny, on this thread.

the bluefox, Monday, 12 April 2004 08:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I've noticed, lately, you speak, at tad, like William, Shatner
