Much maligned during the 1990s, seen only as fit for Lovejoy and Jeremy Clarkson, made a massive comeback over the previous 12 months, so there can only be a few more months before they're on the way out again. Classic or dud?

(Question prompted by seeing concurrent Blue and Will Young videos on Polish music TV)

Depends on the jacket & the cut of the jeans....and what's underneath the jacket.

Never not dud.

Yeah the miami vice look is no go but jeans and jacket can work in right circumstances. Will pointlessly find example using google image search now....

This man knows how to wear a jacket with jeans (ignore the other two bitches)

Using a guy who wears a tea cosy as an example is not perhaps overly persuasive.

i totally rocked that recently! with a polo shirt (not a Polo shirt, incidentally) under the jacket!!

With or without the tea cosy?

Ricardo (RickyT), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

One S. Chow was wearing a genius combination of jacket and jeans last night, and wore it well.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 11 April 2004 23:16 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah the tea-cosy is a little naff but the rest: classic

OMG! Moondance Jam takes place like 30 miles from my home town. I think it is like the biggest annual fest for washed-up classic rock in the world or something.

And those look like exactly the sort of Harley riding personal injury lawyer types that attend. Asses.

I was only able to read one name in that entire picture, and it was JONNY LANG.
