That's marinated chicken dipped in special batter, fried well, served HOT. In one of those London Japanese restaurants I refuse to name in writing ANYWHERE (sorry).
A far cry from the deep fried cheese curds from the Minnesota State Fair. Actually, a CORN DOG also sounds good right now!
Another good thing: fish fingers deep fried and dipped in a mayo/thai chili sauce mix.

Elvis Sandwich = Two butter-grilled slices of white, white bread with banana... slap together, put marshmellow creme and peanut butter in between. Eat. I had one. It was good, but heavy.
The Mizithra cheese and browned butter spaghetti at the Old Spaghetti Factory is another trashy, greasy classic.
