Nah, just sort of decriminalised. It's now something like a C-Class crime. I guess that means you don't get arrested for it, but more of a slap over the wrists.

It has been reclassified as a class c drug meaning it is no longer and arrestable offence. You can however be charged and summoned to court and go down for 2 year (5 for with intent), the theory is the police won't bother, not that they do now, or implement Lambeth style £20 spot fines and confiscation.
