"These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die like fire and powder: Which as they kiss consume. The sweetest honey Is loathsome in his own deliciousness, And in the taste confounds the appetite. Therefore love moderately, long love doth so, Too swift arrives, as tardy as too slow."

So here's the rub. Is it better to love moderately or passionately? Have I been wrong to always ascribe to the latter?

Nu Pleasures.....

the fire and paaion is always more exciting, but maybe things change as things go longer term, or maybe not. I wouldn't know, I'm far too young to have loved a lifetime

Is it possible to do both? In long term relationships, I mean. Keeping the passionate part to the 'bedroom'.
But, then, who can deny passion?

A long term relationship involves both, yeah. It's a continuum, ha.

short term = passionately, though pain shall be yrs.

I think you're right, Geoff. And so does Shakespeare, by the looks of it. I couldn't resist that quotation - it really struck a chord.

Passionately is all I'm capable of. Luckily (luckily?) the opportunity doesn't present itself very often.

I think Tom's "OTM" as I believe you young people say. Like I'd fuckin know anything tho.
