Don't Be Afraid of the Dark: Anybody Here Seen It?

I mentioned this one before on one of those horror movie threads, but feel perhaps it deserves a thread of its own. Reading the comments on the International Movie Database, however, I've come to the conclusion that "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" just might possibly be the most PTSD-inducing (for little kids) made-for-TV movie of all time (and that's even WITH Uncle Charlie from "My Three Sons" as one of its stars!):

I remember the movie somewhat from when I was little (though not especially vividly), and yes, it was pretty damn scary.

So, does anyone else here remember this forgotten gem? It couldn't possibly be as scary to see this as a grown adult...right?

Oh my god - just saw a commercial for the remake of this and immediately knew what story it was. I saw this on tv when I was little and it scared the shit out of me, but all this time I never knew what it was called!
