donna (donna), Saturday, 8 May 2004 02:28 (twenty-one years ago)

well, what do you have to say?

A Nairn (moretap), Saturday, 8 May 2004 02:48 (twenty-one years ago)

The internet is always listening (and watching)

A Nairn (moretap), Saturday, 8 May 2004 02:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I feel like chatting too but it seems as though almost no one's online so I'm sitting here by myself wondering what songs to listen to and feeling very mentally drained but not wanting to disconnect completely, i.e. go asleep.

Those Beautiful Lines (Dee the Lurker), Saturday, 8 May 2004 03:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Kingfish Disraeli (Kingfish), Saturday, 8 May 2004 04:31 (twenty-one years ago)

i just pulled out a tree stump and roots. it was pretty small but fck was it hard work.

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 05:23 (twenty-one years ago)

hell after I posted that my son woke up so I spent the afternoon yakking non-stop to a 2 year old who didn't really care what I said. So that was good :-)
He is sleeping again now........but I've run out of stuff to say!

donna (donna), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I can walk again!

Autumn Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:18 (twenty-one years ago)

thats FANTASTIC adam. what happened?

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Turned out the old orthotics were faulty. The new ones are perfect except for one painful spot, which hopefully can be fixed easily. Then I can walk, run, jog, FAP, etc.

Autumn Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:26 (twenty-one years ago)

are you gonna go to cols show? you could get up on stage and BITE his girlfriend! (see fuxors thrd)

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:31 (twenty-one years ago)

don't know your full story adam but it sounds like good news anyway!
I bought a 2nd hand swing and slide set for my son today for $50 at a garage sale! less than 1/4 the price of a new one hooray.
plus I am thinking of taking in an old dog who's parents have to move overseas. if he can't find a home by Tuesday they are going to have him put to sleep! just trying to juggle the meagre budget to make it work somehow!

donna (donna), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:45 (twenty-one years ago)

dogs aren't expensive donna! feed it on scaps and dry food. as long as he's not gonna need much vetinary care i guess.

dogs are great for kids.

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, hella tasty and no small bones.

Autumn Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:53 (twenty-one years ago)

run out of stuff to say? there was actually stuff to say in the first place? where did it come from? Or, rather, isn't there always stuff to say?

A Nairn (moretap), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:53 (twenty-one years ago)

you s a i d "hella" yak!

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:54 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, Dog is good to eat, but not the ones that are raised for pets, they aren't as good.

A Nairn (moretap), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:54 (twenty-one years ago)

too much fat

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:56 (twenty-one years ago)

but real good with a side of bibimbap.

A Nairn (moretap), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Only 'hella' in the Cartman sense. I don't go around saying 'hella'.

Autumn Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Saturday, 8 May 2004 06:58 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah the age of this dog is a concern, he is 15, so I imagine the vet bills may pile up soon enough. but the alternative isn't nice, and I would like my boy to grow up with pets. We have a cat aged 8, thatwe took in when his folks moved to an apartment, so you can tell I'm a sucker for this kind of thing!

donna (donna), Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey.

hyuck, Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:07 (twenty-one years ago)

15 seems like it could be a problem. what breed is it?

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:08 (twenty-one years ago)

corgi. We had them when I was a child but i can't remember what ( if any ) health problems they had.
he is really a lovely dog, not 'snappy' just super laid-back and serene. I can manage the feed thing ( just finished working out the extra $$ )

donna (donna), Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:14 (twenty-one years ago)

we had a corgi when i was a kid. nice dog. and at that age its not gonna be running around too much for a 2 yr old. but but but...

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:20 (twenty-one years ago)

no it sounds ideal doesn't it? and he is good with children, because he is so calm.
I know I will feel like total shyte if i don't take him in, knowing the alternative, I mean at least he would have a few years of living with a loving family rather than just being xxx'd without real need.
Guess if or when it happens I will just find the money somewhere for the vet.
ok, decision made. Thanks mullygrubber :-)

donna (donna), Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:27 (twenty-one years ago)

well i hope this works. our dog died at 15 just last year but her last 12 months were pretty terrible. bad arthritis, crying at night, limping around in pain. when it was obvious the drugs weren't working anymore - no matter the dose - we had her put to sleep. the kids insisted on coming (4 and 1 1/2 at the time) and i cried.

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:36 (twenty-one years ago)

O that's sad, I'm sorry to hear it. We went through a similar thing with both of our dogs. One got cancer and deteriorated rapidly, the other was suffering in the same way as yours.
Heartbreaking for all, I cried too.

This wee guy doesn't have arthritis ( yet ) and hopefully won't ever suffer from it!

donna (donna), Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:48 (twenty-one years ago)

ah, you're making me want to get another now too.

mullygrubber (gaz), Saturday, 8 May 2004 07:51 (twenty-one years ago)

hahaha yeah life minus dog is not good.

wanna adopt a corgi?

only kidding

donna (donna), Saturday, 8 May 2004 08:05 (twenty-one years ago)
