I find that when I'm nervous I cannot drink coffee -- I love coffee any other time but in this state my body just. does not. want. it. and I don't even get to the point where I'll drink it and throw it up -- what happens is I'll take a sip and I won't even want to swallow it. And no other food or beverage that I normally like does this to me.

Talk about similar experiences.

my friend is the same way about tequila. she claims that she can get it to her lips, and her mouth just won't open, even though she wants to drink it.

i've just got the common 'i threw up after eating _____ when i was a kid and can't eat it now' associations. especially with quiche. and that happened to me with luna bars a few years ago. now the smell makes me ill.

Ive always said I'm allergic to red wine and to be honest Im not sure if I actually am, or it is psychosomatic - but I have amouthful and I'm convinced I have a sudden headache and my skin goes all prickly like i'm about to break out in a rash. So I just dont drink red.

Also as a kid, I wouldnt touch pot noodle with a bargepole cuz once I had it and vommed, and I forever associated spewing with pot noodle (hah, not far from the truth really). But I dont mind it now.

I have a friend that this happens to. They reckon it's an allergy.

Cherry ice cream and gin. (Together or separately.)

gin floats!

Happens to me with Jaegermeister.

i can't eat a hard-boiled egg without thinking of cool hand luke, which makes me think of george kennedy, which makes me want to vomit.

i have corner-of-jaw salivating, nauseating issues with citron vodka, but there's a perfectly good reason for that.

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 18:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Biting into chicken and most other poultry runs shivers up my spine, like someone is running their fingernails against a blackboard. I have no idea why this is, but I've been avoiding chicken my whole life.

Sometimes just the smell of cilantro can make me nauseated.

Morley Timmons (Donna Brown), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 04:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm such a sucker for pussy that I've been known to eat period periodically. Also, without gin, what is there? Certainly not bloody cooze, let me tell youse. Gin 'n' cooze. Good times!

Michael White (Hereward), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 04:33 (twenty-two years ago)

sippin on gin and cooze

Morley Timmons (Donna Brown), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 04:33 (twenty-two years ago)

I can drink red bull, coca-cola or tea till I'm bouncing off the walls but one cup of coffee is enough to put me in a funny mood for up to two days(!)

Why is this? Surely tea and red bull are supposed to have about the same if not MORE caffeine in them?
