Things to do in Lahore when you're there

I'm being sent to LAhore this weekend. I thought I'd plumb the depths of ILX knowledge and see if anyone has any ideas about LAhore or Pakistan in general. I realise it's not the safest country in the world right now, but hey, I could have been off to Baghdad as one of my colleagues is tomorrow.

So any ideas about as to what I should be doing if I get any time off work?

Some ideas?

Some of the places on this page look cool.

I miss-read that as "labour"

I was gonna say "hang out with Shahbaz Sharif" but you can't do that now.

Sent to Lahore? Ed, exactly what do you do again? Besides translating SpongeBobSquarePants into Dutch?

"They need you to dub The OC into Pashto."

I simply transmit rather than translate. I have to train someone how to schedule a TV Channel.

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 14:35 (twenty-one years ago)

how long are you gonna be there, Ed?

hstencil (hstencil), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 15:14 (twenty-one years ago)

3,4 days. Hopefully I'll get to see more than the inside of the PTV offices.

from what?

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 12 May 2004 07:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Good news. The guy at the dry cleaners we use didn't think he could have Ed's suit ready until tomorrow afternoon but the second I mentioned Ed had to have it sooner due to flight to Pakistan, he revealed that he was from Lahore and it would be ready tonight after five.

Ed, feel free to pick the guy's brain, he's expecting you to when you call in to get the suit.

I just remembered the best olde stylee ice-cream parlour in Lahore, close to the American school. Ooh flashback time...not that this helps Ed, having just returned and had a jolly nice time by the sounds of it.

When do you come back to Camden, Ed? I will be in your neck of the woods. Fancy a curry, Ed and Suzy?
