The Taliban want to keep the pound?

Oh no OK. Actually the news sites I read tend to be less bellicose in their language. Whether this is because they find the metaphor distasteful or because the "pounding" of the Taliban seems not to be working that well I don't know.

Sorry, I have this mental picture of Taliban Escalope, it's got a white centre (the turban) with a ring of flattened skin and beardy wisps and another white circle around that. Is about the size of a manhole cover but at least faces Mecca by default. Ah, the effect of Surrealism and Feminax, whoopee.

The papers I see, it's like their giving a narrative of a guy driving home a railroad spike. All day, nothing but "Pound Taliban."
