I leaned over to tie my shoelace earlier and green water spilled out of my nose, rapidly and suddenly.

You might want to have that looked at.

I think it was just some lost vomit. ugh. I had an unpleasant morning.

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 17 May 2004 21:14 (twenty-one years ago)

had you been looking for it?

the surface noise made by people (electricsound), Monday, 17 May 2004 22:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Sometimes my eyelid will quiver rapidly independently of my face.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 17 May 2004 22:45 (twenty-one years ago)

DEAN OTM. OH YEAH.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 17 May 2004 22:45 (twenty-one years ago)

"lost vomit"? Eurgh, dude.

That eyelid twitch thing happens when yr tired I think - I get random body parts that twitch now and then.

IF SOMEONE TURNS THIS INTO INNUENDO I KEEEL THEM.

Trayce (trayce), Monday, 17 May 2004 23:10 (twenty-one years ago)

my eyelid does that too sometimes.

oops (Oops), Monday, 17 May 2004 23:15 (twenty-one years ago)

jed_ (jed), Monday, 17 May 2004 23:22 (twenty-one years ago)

sometimes I'll feel this ache where my soul used to be

Gear! (Gear!), Monday, 17 May 2004 23:23 (twenty-one years ago)

occasionally I cough up small (<4mm) off-white balls that look like tiny brains and smell like poop. They're the consistency of extremely-thin-piped fondant; they crumble easily.

This is decaying food/skin/mucous type material that has collected in your tonsils. "Cryptic" tonsils have cavities that collect this kind of thing. They smell bad because they're rotting.

Skottie, Monday, 17 May 2004 23:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Question: I have had large tonsils since I was young, and the past few months I have been noticing that I am getting food stuck in my tonsils, and I am able to get it out only by picking it out with my fingernail. (I noticed there are a lot of small crevices in my tonsils. Anyway, with food getting stuck it smells REALLY bad (creating terrible breath), what is going on? Did I just get something? Should I have my tonsils removed... what? Please respond ASAP. Thank you so much.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Answer: The condition causing the food to get stuck in your tonsils is referred to as having "cryptic tonsils". This does result in chronic sore throats, halitosis(bad breath), and bad taste. Unfortunately, there is little to do for this situation short of a tonsillectomy. However, one thing that does work occasionally is gargling with salt and soda water after every meal. (One tablespoon of salt and one tablespoon of baking soda in one quart of water). It is not recommended to routinely "pick" your tonsils because of the possibility of causing infection or bleeding. It is recommended that you consult with your family physician or a local Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat doctor). To schedule an appointment with NEA Clinc - ENT - please call 870-934-3484

Skottie, Monday, 17 May 2004 23:42 (twenty-one years ago)

wowowo, skottie. thanks. i've been secretly concerned about this since i was about 11. i used to think it was residual wax from the wax lips i'd eat; since then i've had an irrational fear of them. cheers!

x Jeremy (Atila the Honeybun), Monday, 17 May 2004 23:46 (twenty-one years ago)

No prob! Good luck.

Skottie, Tuesday, 18 May 2004 00:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Following a nasal operation three years ago, for at least three months, once a week I'd exhume a chunk of snot the size and density of a AA battery.

Always Winter Never Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 00:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Woah! I was going to post the exact same thing as Jeremy! It's good to know what those things are.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 00:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan I. (Dan I.), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 00:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Dan I. (Dan I.), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 00:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Do you friends visit or call?

Always Winter Never Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 00:42 (twenty-one years ago)

ha. Actually my closest friends happen to be visiting me today, so I guess there's that answered (unless they just love me so much they can weather the horrible stench to be around me haha)

Dan I. (Dan I.), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 00:47 (twenty-one years ago)

ching ching!

Unless in the depths of the last major session I was on I did some I think I'm ok on this front. I can't remember any other possible time anyway.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 08:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Woah! I posted something about Dan and Jeremy's rotting boluses about a year ago, but Skottie wasn't around to offer a diagnosis! Thanks again from me - good to know it's not anything really nasty.

(my doctor brother thought it might have been salivary gland stones. Ha ha)

Markelby (Mark C), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 08:40 (twenty-one years ago)

This thread is making me nauseous, but also, my right kidney is aching like a bastard.

chris (chris), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 08:44 (twenty-one years ago)

The top of my brain's been twitching for two days now. It's driving me spastic.

Always Winter Never Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 01:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Um, the top of your BRAIN? Not your scalp? Whaathe...?

Trayce (trayce), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 01:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Scalp, brain, meh.

Always Winter Never Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 01:25 (twenty-one years ago)

One time I was trying to pop my ears by closing my mouth, plugging my nose and 'blowing out' and I exhaled a tiny bit through my eyelid.

x Jeremy (Atila the Honeybun), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 01:27 (twenty-one years ago)

When my brother and sister were younger they loved to stick cooked spaghetti up their noses and pull it out through the back of their throats. It always revolted the hell out of me but secretly I was jealous that I couldn't do it.

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 01:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Check yr pants for pins in the crotch is my advice

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 01:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Woah, Gilles that sounds like a hernia maybe! I think I'd get that looked at if I were you.

Dan I. (Dan I.), Wednesday, 19 May 2004 08:47 (twenty-one years ago)

I've had that a couple of times though - I think I'm ok. It only happened for about a month or so and now it's stopped.
