It's too bad he can't cut his hair in that super-tonsure fashion he used to sport with Genesis.

David Raposa, Thursday, 1 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

He reminds me of Yoda.

Nicole, Thursday, 1 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Which makes Phil Collins Palpatine, a comparison I'm perfectly happy to draw and maintain.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 1 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

palpatine?

ethan, Thursday, 1 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Does that make Steve Howe Lando?

David Raposa, Thursday, 1 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If that's the case, Mike Rutherford has got to be Obi Wan then. Oh this is turning out even better than I had hoped. Now, someone must savage Tony Banks!

Kim, Thursday, 1 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Here Comes the Flood is a great song - as I was reminded by a snippet of it in some tv show last night. It doesn't seem to want to leave me today.

Kim, Thursday, 1 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Tony Banks = Chewbacca? GROWLRLRL! "Punch it, Chewie!" *THUMP*

David Raposa, Friday, 2 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think Peter Gabriel is very good looking. He has aged very well too. I liked him best when he used to wear strange make-up. I have a couple of pictures of him in which he is devistatingly beautiful.

toraneko, Friday, 2 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I've never seen him on telly though, I've only seen still pictures of him. I cannot relate his voice to his face at all. I think "Don't Give Up" is one of the most lovely songs ever.

toraneko, Friday, 2 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Peter Gabriel was my first musical obsession, and my first gig. But it only lasted a year and then I got into the Smiths and got embarrassed about him. But yeah, he looks really old these days. It just seemed to happen suddenly. I saw him at a Magnetic Fields concert last year and someone pointed out this old man and said 'look, it's Peter Gabriel'. I was shocked.

ambrose, Friday, 2 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

P. Gabriel = only 'cute' progger? And can you think of another group that replaced the gd looking one w/the lumpen drummer boy and GOT MORE POPULAR?/

Andrew L, Friday, 2 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Jon Anderson, Chris Squire & Rick Wakeman were pretty hot when they were younger. I would probably have gone gay for peter hammill as seen on thee cover ov "In Camera" record. Now he looks like michael palin. Oh well.

He looks like an evil wizrd these days.

Abbott of the Trapezoid Monks (Abbott), Thursday, 18 December 2008 21:50 (sixteen years ago)

He and Billy Joel are looking alarmingly similar, which is scary.

He did a competition a couple years ago for people to remix "Shock the Monkey". The votes were by fans, but he also then picked other songs that were his personal faves.

My bf's remix (an awesome long slowed down drone thing) didn't win the fan vote but when Peter was talking about the winners on a video on his site, he specifially mentioned R's piece as his favourite because he liked the idea of time stretching and "might use it myself in future recordings".

He has a signed Gabriel box set as a result that says "great work Rob" :D *so proud*

Trayce, Thursday, 18 December 2008 23:18 (sixteen years ago)

Oh man Trayce I am in swoon heaven. (Unlike when my best bud in HS won some super signed guitar from Trent Reznor for winning a NIN remix contest why bcz I think NIN is boring.)
