so i've been putting off buying new shoelaces for weeks now and pathetically have been reduced to using a thin piece of string. the problem is the goddamn string keeps breaking! so this morning i just did my boots up halfway and said fuck it. so then i bought some new shoelaces, and i was just about to lace them up when i realized i had accidentally double-tied the string, which in this system is a major no-no, as it's then impossible to untie. i tried just snapping the string with my hands and it didn't work, so i brilliantly got out my lighter and tried to burn the thing, following which the entire piece of string caught on fire and i ran around the room like a maniac. i had just given myself a hotfoot!!
