Upon arriving at ILX on a strange computer this morning, I found myself already logged in as Dadaismus. Perhaps this happens to other people a lot, but I am quite excited. Has anyone else found themselves at computers where others have failed to log off? Also, can Dadaismus guess where I might be?

Yes, but if you click on Dada it has Dadaismus's details and email address.

I am about to log out, but I am interested to know why, in the top right corner, Dada/ismus has "Contribute (50 Days Left)" where I only have "Contribute.

no, we've had this before. dada never had a log in, dadaismus' log-in is dada, chosen presumably before he knew about dada, innit.

also yes if i can get a proper explanation as to why there are two of me - i changed my e-mail address but my username and password are the same, tho i do post to ILX from both home and work...are these factors in my duplication?

haha imagine my surprise to discover that when I use my alternate login, my username and password are stored in plaintext in the cookie content. No wonder I feel like never logging in at all is more secure and reliable. Perhaps if we can afford a new server, we can implement a session-specific hash scheme to keep things like this from happening?
