when I saw the ad in the subway I was like "hmmm I wonder what the Dark Bros. have been up to lately..."

it just frightens me. I'm going to have nightmares of wayans' brothers chasing me in serial-killer silicone masks.

TS: Wayans Bros. vs. Dark Bros.?

i was saying to bryan while watching shrek two (which was surprinsingly good) that this film had enough accdiental gender and racial subtext that it could hold a passel of cultural theorists in thrall for years (esp. if you find this recent spate of black broad comedies minsterel shows, cf bamboozled and spike lee on eddie murphy)

not that it will be a "good" film at all (good as in, i do not think i will laugh once)

substitute "sexual" for "racial," and you've got lawnmower. jesus, is that a fucked up movie.

I've no doubt that this will be a huge cultural touchstone for kids who are in their early teens in 2004, though.

"Do you remember when they made movies like THIS?"
