I did that Anthony . Oh, I also mailed you my latest cd today. I had to sign on it that I wasn't mailing you "dangerous substances" but some of the tracks might be properly labeled as such. Perhaps Herr Momus would allow me to put my version of Saint Sebastian on my mp3.com page for hearing

i still stand by the fact that the scott walker tune is a great vehicle for hanle y. of couse, the title should be changed to "the cockfarmer."

GG Allin's "Drink, Fight, and Fuck."

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Here's a serious one ... something by Brian Eno, maybe "The True Wheel" or "St. Elmo's Fire."

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

100,000 Fireflies

RickyT, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can't cover St. Elmo's fire because stereolab already did it.

Mike Hanle y, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

do a Sweet medley, sweet on 45 sort of thing. failing that, the "top one, nice one, get sorted" Altern8 song.

Alan at home, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"I Dig Everything" by David Bowie. IDE rocks me gently.

Arthur, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Fox on the Run.

Sean, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yngwie Malmsteen's "I Am a Viking." I'd love to hear what Hanle y does with these lyrics: I am a warrior my mind is set to kill
Life or death is on the line
I am a slayer and you will taste my steel
I've got your life right in my hand

You are a loser and it's such a shame,br> That you're a fool and you don't know
That I'm a viking I'll walk all over you
And by my sword you will die

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Had I seen Alan's post a mere two above mine, I would have thought twice. Actually, it's my standard response, and often yell it out at (smaller) shows. Once I saw the Leaving Trains and shouted it, and they actually played part of it!

Sean, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

heh! i always shout "Smoke on the Water". I mean EVERY time. every gig. it just gets funnier. i bellowed it at New Order recently. don't think they heard.

ackcherly, ONCE, once, the band heard me. but it was in a teeny venue (Vauxhall Tavern) and it was a novelty band that played big RAWK/grunge hits on teeny electric guitars (with a BIG sound), so no wonder that appealed to the lead guitarist who was mighty amused and played the intro bit

Alan at home, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

BTW a song of min eis featured in ILM listening chamber #15. Keep this in mind when suggesting. I Dig Everyth9ong is certainly a good one.

Mike Hanle y, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Either "The Eric Dolphy Memorial Barbeque" or "The Little House I Used to Live In." I think you can pull either one off, Hanle y, I have faith in ye.

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Monday, 5 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

three weeks pass...
Sooooo, Hanle y, what song did you end up covering?

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And what about that version of Dots And Loops?I'm listening to Miss Modular right now - I'd be interested to hear it,as one of the few people on this board who thinks Dots And Loops is THA SHIZNIT.

Damian, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Hanely is a musical genius!

james, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ned Raggett, Monday, 26 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dots and Loops is *formidables*. I spit on your poxy space-time continuum!

Don't think anyone has covered Love's "And More Again" before, so it's high time someone did.

Trevor, Tuesday, 27 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)
