Fantasy football

I have a fantasy football at work, though I know nothing about football. Intense City is currently 25th/40 in the Blackwell Publishing league.

So does anyone else do this? Are there equivalents in the US for baseball & American football?

Can I just say ...'4-0 - HA!'

Not especially connected to fantasy league - although Wiltord is on my team.

Although it was only a reserve match I am in a very good mood.

shudder, shudder. I can't think of anything worse than getting stuck in a throb of Gooner scum. Except maybe a throb of Arse supporting spiders.

the best tip for anyone doing the fantasy league for the premiership is to sign Ian Harte, defender for Dirty Leeds (thus conceding precious few goals), takes corners and free kicks, not to mention penalties.

I did Fantasy Football at work last season, and WON! Okay, there were only 12 of us, but still, it got the pulse racing every monday morning.

Also, buy Beckham. Regardless of how expensive is, he'll be worth it. Other gems in my team last season were Hyypia and Boksic (was very cheap). Have you got Carlos Marinelli?

Beckham was the top ranking midfielder player last season followed by Gus Poyet. Poyet is obviously better than Beckham though cos he's a yid. Other advice would be Don Hutchison and Schmeichel - no other keeper is going to redeem himself by letting in three and then nipping up the other end to pop one in.

Jonnie, you would hate living where i live.

i suppose you've seen those arsenal tops that say "we've always had rhythm. now we've got Sol"

Henry is my star player at the mo with 32 points. Giggs is doing really well too and I've recently signed Ravanelli who is shaping up well.

Convenient how S*l has a damaged hamstring at the moment. Can't think what the next league game he has is ;).

i'm not an Arsenal fan, btw. we just live nearby

gareth, Tuesday, 6 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That makes you one by association I would say ;)
