I don't need to be on a board, with jon williams, hstencil and momus, come to think of it.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

A sudden spike in my production at work will make everyone else around me look worse than they already do. They will beg me to stay and offer a raise, and as soon as I take it, ILX will be up again and I can go back to being a procrastinating bastard who still does more than everyone else!

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:32 (twenty-one years ago)

more work and more writing about food and sport for the freaky trigger empire hopefully

chris (chris), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Hey yeah, I might get off my ass and freak some triggers too.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, I was, mean RJG. I was just, teasing you a little. You are, a righteous dude.

St. Nicholas (Nick A.), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:38 (twenty-one years ago)

I can't tell if RJG and NA are friends, or mortal enemies.

I'm trying to make an ezboard called 'TWOOOOOO WEEKS' but it's being stupid.

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I will be finishing up and sending off writing samples to agents, and then on July 14 fly out to Caracas to relax for a week and a half. A fine situation!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

What about the Focus Group?

mark grout (mark grout), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:42 (twenty-one years ago)

i do like the idea of a board that exists only for a fortnight

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:51 (twenty-one years ago)

what's 'a fortnight'?

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

it would be THE HOLIDAY BOARD. and we would have to behave like we were on holiday on it i.e. getting fucked on Uzo and sleeping with Greek waiters or Club Reps, or Dean Gaffney

stevem (blueski), Thursday, 1 July 2004 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

let's all post our livejournals here:

[[[[[[[also: why isn't anyone being honest here w/ regards to "more masturbation" - c'mon you know the AZN_Schoolgirl_Sluts page is bookmarked right underneath "ILX" in all your browsers...now that the top one won't work you'll just go 'straight' for the one underneath... ]]]]

forgivethisfule! (Vic), Friday, 2 July 2004 08:46 (twenty-one years ago)

nowadays i can only masturabate when my roommate's gone. and since she's still stuck in the 90s that's only when Mod/Britpop nights are on.

Ask For Samantha (thatgirl), Friday, 2 July 2004 08:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't you beat off to ILX, Vic?

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 2 July 2004 08:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I never go on ILX in the mornings these days, but I'm making an exception today. I suspect I'll come back, and I also suspect that nu-nu-ILX will be a veritable Eden of politeness, friendship and affection, which will last about 3 weeks obv, but it'll be fun while it does last.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 2 July 2004 08:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Your search - AZN_Schoolgirl_Sluts - did not match any documents

most people just go to pitchfork cos they forgot the web address for suicidegirls anyway

If this is the place for last minute confessions...why yes, I've been making mad love to myself over each and every one of underaged Aja's posts. AAAAAAAAhhhhhhh....that was so cathartic.

Vic (Vic), Friday, 2 July 2004 09:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Ask For Samantha (thatgirl), Friday, 2 July 2004 09:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope that everyone finds politeness, friendship, affection IRL in these two weeks, and rethinks what talkboards are for. I.e. NOT politness, friendship, affection.

Enrique (Enrique), Friday, 2 July 2004 09:21 (twenty-one years ago)

You crazy live-fast-die-young motherfucker, Enrique.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 2 July 2004 09:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 2 July 2004 10:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope that everyone finds politeness, friendship, affection IRL in these two weeks

ken c (ken c), Friday, 2 July 2004 10:10 (twenty-one years ago)

I need some pointless affection, for real.

Enrique (Enrique), Friday, 2 July 2004 10:12 (twenty-one years ago)

ken c (ken c), Friday, 2 July 2004 10:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Içm stuck in buenos aires airport, stranded and unable to use a spanish keyboard. I hope in two weeks i will not still be here : ((((((

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 2 July 2004 10:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Ma$onic Boom (kate), Friday, 16 July 2004 11:21 (twenty-one years ago)

ken c (ken c), Friday, 16 July 2004 11:29 (twenty-one years ago)

how was Simon & Garfunkin' ken?

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Friday, 16 July 2004 11:56 (twenty-one years ago)

i am going to:
DJ tonight (maybe)
finish a site for respected journo bloke
continue webmastering my main/fave client's site
eat pizza (but less than the last two weeks)
plan purchase of new computer, digital camera
start looking for new place to live (just cos i want to move soon)
make CDs for people
play football with ILX people this SUnday week then watch Euro 2004 final
experience Euro 2004 withdrawal symptoms more than ILX WS
more

i did indeed do all these things

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Friday, 16 July 2004 11:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I did in fact move to Japan. Im there now (minus apostrophes).

Laura E (laurae55), Friday, 16 July 2004 12:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I got lots of work done and co-wrote a bunch of tunes for an electronic project. That all stops now, I guess.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 16 July 2004 12:15 (twenty-one years ago)

it was good! although funnily enough you could pretty much watch it from the outside for free (they have WIDE columns of entrace gates and you can pretty much sit outside and have a good view of the video screen and decent sound).

They were kind of good - it was a bit sad too to see them being so old, so sad to see paul simon with no hair, even sadder to see art garfunkel to STILL HAVE THAT HAIR arrrgh. No fights onstage but I still think they were trying to outstage each other a bit. P.S. was very showy and kept waving his arms about.

His voice was a lot better than A.G. though, AG still hits the high notes but when he did the end bit of Bridge over troubled water you can tell he was being careful and wasn't like belting it like you think he would.

The everly brothers were good too, who came on halfshow to do like 4 songs.. dreammm dream dream dreammmm.

couldn't sell the goddam ticket.

ken c (ken c), Friday, 16 July 2004 12:16 (twenty-one years ago)

wank like a muthafucka

and finally beat Fallout 2(maybe)

alix (alix), Friday, 16 July 2004 15:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I began work on my album, but I had a little too much fun getting horrible feedback out of my Rap & Sing toy keyboard. It's been a long two weeks, but some good things happened.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 16 July 2004 15:50 (twenty-one years ago)

i can confirm the giraffe was quite impressive. death by tent is not a way to go.

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Friday, 16 July 2004 16:30 (twenty-one years ago)

jel -- (jel), Friday, 16 July 2004 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

jel -- (jel), Friday, 16 July 2004 16:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I stayed in Buenos Aires but I got out of the airport. I went on trips, took photos, learnt to say a few more things in Spanish and ate a lot. Best two weeks of the year, probably.

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 16 July 2004 16:59 (twenty-one years ago)

you went to Argentina just coz ILX was closed?

jel -- (jel), Friday, 16 July 2004 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I like to think that ILX was closed because I went to Argentina.

Cathy (Cathy), Friday, 16 July 2004 17:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I went to an interview, played tennis, played gamecube, dreamcast, splinter cell: pandor tomorrow (online!), counter-strike, and other things. read books.

Bought Across the Nightingale Floor which looks excellent and a Tungstun C with wifi (ILXOR on a PALM oh my).
Flew to NJ for my niece's first birthday.
Booked hotels in Paris, Geneva, Zurich for upcoming whirlwind european trip.
Did not book train tickets yet for said trip.
Decided Cheerios are my favorite dinner and the Chinese place downstairs has taken a serious nose dive in takeout food quality.
Still listening to To the 5 Boroughs and too much Blur.
Planning trip to Portland for later this month.
My friend climbed almost to the summit of Mt Rainier.
Noticed that I really, really, really ought to do something about the rusty spot on my Civic's door.

lyra (lyra), Saturday, 17 July 2004 05:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Worked. Did a reading. Worked.

the lightfox, Saturday, 17 July 2004 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

i went to work, went to bars, went to dublin, went to glasgow, went to london. i developed a crush on william powell. i got a cold, and i've nearly lost my voice.

lauren (laurenp), Saturday, 17 July 2004 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I´m sorry I missed you in Glasgow, Lauren. It sounded like fun was had. Next time!

Cathy (Cathy), Saturday, 17 July 2004 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Decided to start my encyclopedist career and worked on Wikipedia a bit.
Learned how to use the Arriflex SR3.
Watched my gf take her first English horseback lesson.
Had a dubbing session for my film; I screened it yesterday.
Finished watching The Kingdom 2 and have gone to offer burnt sacrifices for a third part. Haven't watched too much else b/c of filmmaking's demands on my time, but we started end-of-term screenings now.
Read Wells's Short History of the World and Schlosser's Reefer Madness. Also still slowly chipping away at Biskind's Easy Riders, Raging Bulls.

Laura E (laurae55), Sunday, 18 July 2004 03:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I mopped jizz in a porn store in the nights, hit garage sales in the mornings, and ran a book store in the days. In between I bounced $700 in checks, found a working 900 Mhz computer that I needed in the trash, and started studying to teach a workshop in visual effects for digital video artists.
