I was going to post this later, but since there's an outage...
The 10th sees the town of Hitchin celebrate it's annual Rhythms Of The World festival. Basically the streets and pubs open up and there's music everywhere you go. It was fucking fantastic last year I recall, especially for something quite quite independent and FREE!
The other reason to come down is so we can all have a tipple in the excellent Sun Runner pub on Bancroft road which sells all kinds of guest beers, fortified wines AND MEAD! So if anyone fancies trying a "Hitchin Bumpkin" (half real Scrumpy/half mead), then get down.
Another good reason to come down is so I can meet you all - I haven't met any of you yet, though I sure would like to but I am scared of big London FAP things. My band Autofire will be playing a gig about lunchtime in the George pub on Bucklersbury street but if you can't make it to that, I understand.
What's the plan then - obviously people will be meeting at different times and the festival takes over the entire town so there won't be a proper meeting point.
What I suggest is that people email me at my GMail account below and I will pass you my phone number to contact me on the day.
To get to Hitchin you basically grab the northbound WAGN line from Kings Cross which heads towards Cambridge/Stevenage etc. I don't know how to get there by car, but basically we're in the Stevenage/Luton/Bedford area of the world.
