Technical difficulties which are beyond my control continue to be unresolved, with only twelve days to go before assessment. Is is too late to change direction and just submit a wall with 'fuck you' scrawled on it?

Also I need to sell my work, so how much would I charge for that?

one of the turner art prize exhibits this year = an empty room w. a light switch, art being whether the light (which was was not installed by the artist, but already THERE as was the ROOM, as part of the buildng!!) is on or off. You could stage an hommage.

(I got this info from a cartoon i read over someone's shoulder on the bus: suzy may haf to correect me as to specifics).

People are allowed to extend there dead lines if there is mechanical failure , ask arround. Other wise i just came from a conceptual art show and alot of it was brillant ideas and brillant writing , the object itself or the processes that make the object were secondary. So take a DEEP breath and realize your genius !

I had the same problem last week, but I just ended up submitting mostly substandard work. Ugh. As to what you should do: Make something and then burn it in a public space. Collect the ashes in a box labeled "gone" and exhibit that. Oh, and make sure you capture the thing on videotape. (Yeah, it's all been done, but it worked for one guy I know.)

why hand in a wall? just go for the fuck you, send pieces of your vagina hair matted in crud as an exploration of the consumerist manifesto upon your scared soil....or something.

I was thinking about my semi-disappointing assessment and I wondered what rainy ended up with. Please please please don't tell us you went with Geoff's idea?

Best 'o luck to ya, Rainy. Besides, once you get into "the zone", those suckers basically install themselves. (Okay, I'm talking nonsense now and I'm off to bed. Don't work too hard!)

I have finished. My photographs look so great I can hardly stand to look at them. There are twenty-one of them and they stretch down a huge, white, airy, second floor corridor with huge plate glass windows on one side and my photographs and potted nikau palm trees on the other.
